my week...mixed bag but employment is great!
week of mixed success
Date: 9/16/2006 7:16:17 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 1981 times I had a cold this week. I started my new job this week too. I really like it even though it is a nursing home. First of all, it makes me enjoy the stuff of life and want to take care of myself. It's teaching me of a lot of Christ-like compassion for the defenseless. Elderly people with alzheimers are truly defenseless. It's amazing how in old age we revert back to a childlike nature. This job is fueling my vision of creating a holistic nursing home that serves nourishing foods,cooked and raw. The cafeteria salad bar is PATHETIC and the cooked food is horrible. I fell off the raw wagon before and believe it or not working in that place makes me want to be raw 100%. Raw 100% would not work for elderly people with fragile systems but they can sure do without ENSURE, the worst nastiest thing ever created. It's junk. Anyway, I didn't exercise this week but today I walked to the discount storeabout 1.5 mile away. It was a little exhausting but felt good.
