A little background.
My street creds
Date: 3/10/2006 11:46:59 AM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 3086 times I thought I'd share my health and fasting background, so that people can get an idea what it took me to get to this point.
I'm 21 years old. For most of my life I ate what is considered a healthy Standard American Diet (SAD). This means, no soda, no preservitives, no packaged food, lots of fruit and veggies, but no attention to food combining.
When I moved away from home, at 18, I started to be interested in health, starting with weightlifting. I wanted to gain some weight, being skinny all my life (6'3" 170lbs) At first I was really interested in lifting techniques and I did grow some majorly nice muscles over a year. However, I knew that my diet was holding me back, so I started researching diets and health more and more.
I eventually stopped weightlifting, but I still excerscise regularly
The next year I was really into Yoga. Not so much the poses, which I think are GREAT, but the whole mind body philosophy, and especially clensing. I did several shatkarmas, loving them all and the clean feeling they gave me. I became immensly flexible and neared contortionist level. I still ate meat, and wasn't very careful about my diet, and that hurt my body at that point.
I started sungazing at that time, and went for a few months, all the way to 12 minutes before I moved to the city, which made the practice impossible.
The next year, I moved into my own apartment, which allowed me more and more time to do what I wanted, as well as complete control of my diet.
I bought a Champion Jucier and filled my fridge witihi fruit for months. The ONLY food in my house was healthy, no junk food. If I wanted junk food, I had to get up and walk to the resteraunt or the store, which I rarely did.
I completed several juice fasts, the longest was 14 days, but there were at least 5 - 5 day fasts and more 1-3 days fasts than I can count.
Then I moved back home in order to save some money, while going to school.
This restricted my fasting a lot, since the people around me were always worried about my fasting. I did a 7 day water fast, an 11 day master clense fast, and a 14 day orange juice fast.
I've done between 25-40 liver flushes, until all my stones were gone. The last 3 flushes were empty of stones, so i've stopped doing them.
I've been meat and mostly egg and dairy free for a year and a half. I eat what I want mostly, and what I want has become healthier and healthier over the years.
This latest fast (40 days) has been in the works for at least a year, but I needed to wait until the RIGHT time. The time has come.
