First step taken on next LONG leg of journey

Date: 3/23/2006 6:59:51 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 1826 times Today I finally began my MC. Almost talked myself into "one more day" as I picked up a perfectly ripe avocado. Then I put it down and remembered I have committed to starting today. So, I drank my tea, and then started on the lemonade.
So far, I've had 3 lemonades. I'm hungry, but don't really feel like eating. Just missing flavors. I'm also not in the mood for the lemonade. I went to the local store and bought lettuce for the family's salad, and a frozen pizza. I don't think I could handle preparing a big meal from scratch, but I can handle the smell of pizza. Besides, it has tomato sauce, so I couldn't eat it anyways (can't eat nightshade vegees due to joint problems). No temptations tonight!
Tomorrow a friend and I are swapping kids for the night. I get the 3 boys and she gets the 2 girls. Lots of snack food around, and it'll be noisy. The up side is that I have so much to do that I won't sit around thinking about eating. Last night I was up until about 11pm cleaning my bathroom and sanitizing the floor. I guess I am really in a cleansing mood!
I'm not going to worry about my weight until my current clothing gets too loose. My goal is to stay on liquids (MC, juice fasting, maybe a few days of green smoothies toward the end) until I hit between 190-192. Then I will NEVER be over 200 pounds again. I expect it to take more than a month to reach my goal, so I'm going to be doing this for the long haul. I don't want to discourage myself by watching the scale too closely!
I am still hurting a lot from my various joint/back issues, but will be getting back on the treadmill next week. For now, I'm just going to try to function without pain/anti-inflammatory drugs.
