Day 4 continues...
Reading Blogs to get encouraged
Date: 2/23/2006 3:53:24 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 1759 times I have been reading blogs for hours, linking to websites that are awesome and I feel SO encouraged! I am still on Day 4, and feel ready to meet the challenges ahead. I realize I have been addicted to cooked food for a long time. My worst offenders are ice cream and sunflower seeds (roasted/salted/in the shell). I am going to stay away from the SAD forms of these from now on. I am going to take charge of my health, because no one else can do it for me...
I have some knowledge, lot's of raw equipment, and a semi-supportive family (hubby and 2 kids). I'm not going to waste anymore time getting sidetracked. I know what to do, am learning how to do it, and will keep researching new steps I can take. I LOVE the recipes in different blogs, but I'm not going to dwell on food for a while yet. One day at a time...
My anniversary trip is coming up, March 10-12, and I'll be switching from the liquids to solids in time for that. Hubby said he'd take me to juice bars, and there's a huge Whole Foods there, too. I'm bringing my Vita-mix and it'll be smoothies and raw soups for many of my meals. As I'm not 100% raw or vegan at this point, I'll probably splurge and have some broiled white fish w/lemon?? But I have decided to do a liver flush after the trip, and go right back to either a juice fast or an MC. Then I'll transition to high-raw once my cravings stay under control for at least a few days. I'd like to be closer to the 200 pound mark before I really start eating again, except for the few days on and around our trip.
Just couldn't wait to update....
Starting Weight 243.5; weight mid-Day 4: 233
I KNOW!!! I shouldn't weigh myself so often. But I can't help it yet, and I won't let it get me down when the scale doesn't move or moves the wrong way. I am also taking weekly measurements to track progress....
