NYC Girl - Grocery Shopping
Another SWF Olympics consumes my weekend, but that does not stop me from going out and shopping for groceries.

Day 7, 8 & 9
All over America Saturday is considered the great date night and in New York it's really no different. That's mainly because jaded New Yorkers believe the night is for amateurs, so the perfect excuse to venture out is on a date. I ended up at the movies seeing "Capote" with my boyfriend Patrick. Both the movie and the date were great. Even though Patrick tried to offer me popcorn knowing I was doing the MC. Of course I declined. But then I had to sit there as he shoveled into his mouth and poured every last kernel down his throat. You've seen this before, the bottom of the popcorn container up in the air, one hand hitting it to get the last bits out. When we got home after midnight I drank my Smooth Move tea, he ate a sandwich and we watched a little of the Olympics.
The next morning I was once again part of the Olympics . . . the SWF Olympics. Meanwhile, Patrick ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a roll. And then remarked about the beauty of NYC being you can get anything you want delivered whenever you want it. That is true. He ate breakfast in the living room, while I rested in between Olympic events in the bedroom. Later in the day we went our separate ways. I ended up at Whole Foods looking for Redmond Sea Salt, a product it does not sell. I did end up buying Whole Foods generic brand because it's the same as the name brand. I also bought vegetable and chicken broth as well as other natural foods and some baby food I will try. There was a scene in Capote where one of the killers goes on a hunger strike and Truman feeds him baby food. It’s also something I ate when I lived in France. Then I went to my Aunt Pat's for dinner. She had veal, and I had my MC drink.
It was back to work Monday. Lucky for me very few people were in the office because of the Holiday so there were virtually no temptations or distractions. Well, I'm off to drink my tea. Good night all and good luck.
