We CAN Fix the Environment ~ How Flowers are Detoxing Soil
Scientists Have "Taught" a Beautiful Flower How to Eat Up Toxins and Detox Soil

But what I am saying is that I really believe that if we put our mind to it we can solve the seemingly daunting problems that currently overwhelm us when it comes to the environment.
So much genius potential is locked up inside of us just clamoring to burst out and make the most of our amazing gifts.
Yes! Genius potential! And we can solve these dilemmas and we can heal this planet and we can figure out how to make this whole thing work the way it was meant to. Believe that.
I just read this great little piece about these scientists who “taught” a little known flower how to eat up horribly toxic chemicals and detox contaminated soil. The yellow lupine, a flowering bush, has been altered into a chemical gobbler. Scientists have known for a long time about a certain bacteria that naturally eats up and breaks down toxins. The problem was getting that bacteria to stick around toxic sites. There is a another bacteria that naturally occurs in the yellow lupine. The chemical eating components of the first bacteria were inserted into the bacteria that naturally occurs in the yellow lupine, and voila! You have got a toxin eating bush that is very hearty and can be planted anywhere where certain toxins are currently polluting the land. And the thing is that the plants are beautiful looking! You see a beautiful sea of yellow blossoms, and yet those yellow blossoms are hard at work cleaning up mother earth. Wonderful!!! How can you go wrong?
The next step is to try the same thing with trees. This method could transform trees into detoxing powerhouses. Maybe we could use something like this to heal the soil in Iraq after all of the horrors of DU? Its possible.
This is what I call genius being put to the work of healing purposes and I love it!
Here is a short article on the subject.
