Day 2: Epsom Salt Baths Help
Feeling nauseous, feverish, and weak...
Date: 1/15/2006 5:31:53 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2310 times I decided to water fast til Monday after rereading some of the water fast recommended posts. The body burns off alot of toxins the first two days evidently, but the metabolism stays high which is why I feel so weak and sick. I'm still taking the chinese bitters and coptis. I never ordered GCG or curcuma as I'm poor and I figured I could eat apples to prepare flushes instead. Taking the coptis this morning right before I went to bed did help me sleep, but I had odd odd fever dreams. Understandable, as I'm now feeling like I have a bad bug. The Epsom Salt bath helped with the feverish feeling, but not the weakness or nausea. I need some senna tea to flush my intenstines(no I dont own an enema kit or I would do that,.. maybe I'll go buy one of the disposable ones tho if I keep feeling this sick).
Fiance is in california, enjoying the hills and the nice weather as they drive towards whatever ski resort they're headed for. I'm sad that I couldn't go, but there's oppertunities(sp? oO) here that I'm very glad I didn't miss. This interview, the chance to take the LSAT on Saturday and be paid to do it.
Hopefully tommorow I'll be on track to start adding back foods slowly. I think I'll make green juice+aloe vera juice in my blender first, then my flax drink later, and then grapefruit, salads and apples for solid food. After a few days of that, I'll add in egg yolk again for protein. I'm actually craving my normal breakfast bowl of chopped apples and cinnamon. I'm also craving bad bad food, but oh well. They're right, people do throw food at you when you start a fast, despite no food ever being around when you're not fasting but starved. I was offered candy, fast food, ect. during my night shift and it wasn't that hard to turn it down. It was easy to come up with excuses too.. I said no to the candy because I knew it'd make me sugar crash after an hour and sleeping on the job is a massive no no. The cheeseburger wasn't even a problem because someone else immediately called for it after I turned it down.
Skin on my face looks much improved after urine massage.. as much as I would love to think that people aren't prejudice against people with skin problems, I know some are, so I won't take the chance and I'll try to minimize the glaring redness and large pores.
I did lose an entire inch off my hips, so I'm thinking my original idea that most of the weight I gain is from toxins in my system, not from excessive eating. Helping my body flush them out again is propably the best idea I ever came up with. It's part water, I know, but why am I carrying so much water, hmm? Another day, and I'll bring back good foods to keep my metabolism and I'll added activated charcoal and psyllium husks to absorb the toxins out of my intenstines. I need a water filter pitcher or something, as I think the main culprit is chlorine. Anne Gittleman(while alot of her "programs" are money making focused) made a very interesting point of how chlorine is an xeno-estrogen(I think thats what its called), which might be the cause of my ovarian cysts. Toxic fake estrogens, hmm... I need to remember to start taking Saw Palmetto again when I start eating again. It's supposed to help flush fake estrogens out of the body.
Ugh, it's hard to tell sometimes if it's nausea of the gunk flushing into my intestines, or severe hunger.
Oh! I did find a way to prevent myself from sleep-eating. I taped my fridge and my cabinets shut, which wouldn't _prevent_ me from opening it, but the initial shock of it just not opening was enough to startle me awake and remember I propably needed water more. Ugh. I really want some frozen walnuts or something. Half of this adventure is just to break my habit of constantly wandering into the kitchen for food. Need to establish other ways of dealing with boredom.
Well, see you tommorow, blog.
