The Fence Post # 7
The visionaries and dreamers are asked to bring their experiences back into the day world, no matter what the "divine gibberish" might sound like. Isn't it what is propelling our collective consciousness forward?

Then books are written about it and translations and transcriptions; but it’s all kind of divine gibberish. We can’t really translate it here any more than a dog, suddenly comprehending mathematics, could later translate the data to his dog fellow, no matter how inspired his barks . . . Maybe when we try our hardest to make the vision work in our world, to make it practical, we distort it most of all; because what makes sense at those other levels of consciousness may sound nonsensical here. (p. 364) Aren’t we each, though, through our dreams and visions and expanded states of consciousness, forging this “new ground” within the collective psyche of humanity? Aren’t we all going to the mountaintop and returning with the “divine gibberish?” We each have that opportunity, for sure, and—true—not many are opening their eyes to those realms. Yet, this has been the work of dreamers and explorers of consciousness who have paved new ground in the psyche of our collective being over the last half century. Certainly, as I’ve written through my work with “collective dreaming,” (www.collectivedreaming.com) the terrain is not the same as when Freud brough back his “divine gibberish” from the unconscious over a century ago. We’ve cleared new paths and made headway. The few dozens of shaman doing their work a century ago are now in the hundreds of dozens, Westerners included. The terrain is changing, and we are being asked to bring this new consciousness into our world, and to each work towards transforming our world with these new visions. The Collective Dreaming Project
