EFT working with friends

Date:   9/8/2005 3:03:46 PM   ( 18 y ) ... viewed 2010 times

I did a chair yoga class at my own RS homemaking mtn last night and I started out one session with some tapping. One sister HL who had just had some surgery for colon cancer had sore midsection. After about 2 rounds of tapping it had decreased. The chair yoga increased the pain - lots of stretching, so we did more tapping and reduced the pain again to 1. She was excited to do this on her own and she was one of my favorite teachers at RX so it would be great to teach her something to lessen the pain.

Another sister JT has many many aches and pains and many many life issues. She was able to reduce the pain in hand enough to write a little. I want to go see them again at their house to see if we can reduce her pain more. But then I got thinking - sometimes its easier to work with people who are strangers. Friends and family who you have had a relationship with for years might not want to share or open any emotional issues that come up because the relationship might be put off balance. So we may only get to a certain point with JT and not really adress many emotional issues. If the emotional issues are with her family(which they likely are) that would be almost impossible to adress right now.
