Sprouting Beans and Quinoa for the first time
Date: 6/4/2005 9:31:22 AM ( 19 y ) ... viewed 1939 times Today is Saturday and it is beautiful out! You can tell that it is going to be a warm day. I love spring as it is a time of new beginning. And I really feel that way about my life---sometimes getting a disease brings a person full circle. I look at mine as a gift. Don't get me wrong...I am trying to get cured from this liver disease but it's entry in my life has made me see what is important--mainly my family.
I am 'sprouting' today. My first step in the raw food journey. I have my mung beans, northern beans, black beans and quinoa. I am going to set up my little "green house" (just a table by my kitchen window)get out my jars and cheesecloth and try to grow something. I had gotten on line and found out that most beans are mucoid forming unless sprouted.
I will keep you posted to the progress considering I lack the proverbial "Green Thumb"!
