Some favorite old southern receipts....
Just in time for the Holidays.... These are keepers... So check out our line up...

We will have "No Bake Fruitcake", some " Key Lime Pie" straight from North Africa of course, a "Broccoli Coleslaw" that will knock your socks off, "My favorite pancakes"..... these are really super not your run of the mill....
1) No Bake fruit cake... Crush a 1Lb box Graham crackers, into fine crumbs, add 3 Cups of raisins, 4 cups of your favorite nuts, a 10 oz jar of cherries drained & cut into quarters, 1 Lb of flaked coconut.... Mix well... Put 1 Lb Marshmallow with 6 oz evaporated milk, over a double boiler, heat and stir until melted.... Then pour over the dry mixture, mix well... Place on lined container which has a top, fill and pack down... Place top on then store in frig... Will last for months good during holidays...
2) Broccoli Coleslaw... Mix half a cup canola oil, with on third cup of wine vinegar, 2 Tbsp raw sugar blend well.... Add 1 cup sunflower kernels, 1 cup sliced almonds, 1 Tbsp diced onion greens or 2 Tbsp fresh onion, and one pak of Raman Noodles broken up include the flavor packet... Add 12 oz broccoli coleslaw, mix well and serve...
3) Favorite pancakes..... Blend 1 egg, three quarters cup of milk, 2 Tbsp oil, half tsp vanillia... Have the grill hot appox 350 degrees F.... Then combine 1 Tbsp baking power, half tsp salt, half tbsp raw sager, and 1 cup of good quality flour... Fresh milled whole wheat is best... { A little more milk can be added to make a good flowing batter}Makes appox six large pancakes or 10 small ....
4) Best Key Lime Pie... 4 oz key lime juice, 4 egg yokes, 1 can of condensed milk.. Blend well and pour into a heated 9 " graham cracker shell, Bake at 325 degrees F appox 8 minutes.... Let cool and serve... { You don't think I found out about this in Key West do you???}
