I am so grateful to have this Alternative Health business that I do in my "spare time". It gives me a chance to b r e a t h e and relax and to spend a few hours each day in a rejuvenating environment. I like that.
Every now and then, a client comes in. I like that too. Eventually, maybe this business will generate enough income that I can afford to go part-time at my regular full time job. That would be so nice. And it has been my long term goal all along.
We had our first Acu-Vibe clinic (that's Acupuncture + VIBE Machine treatment combo) yesterday, and it went well. Hoping for many more. People seem pleased with the results from Acu-Vibe.
Looking forward to another Raw Foods Potluck on Friday evening. Though it had been oppressively hot and dry here for weeks, it's now raining constantly, and the Rawluck is outdoors. Hope that will work out. I think there's a covered place underneath a nearby building where we can all go if it's rainy. There was a fellow who wouldn't stop following me around at the last outdoor Rawluck, so I'm rather hesitant to go.
It's taking me awhile to get to the point where I actually prepare raw recipes, and I'm pleased to announce I'm nearly there. I've read at least 50 raw recipes, and plan to prepare something for the Rawluck Friday rather than bringing watermelon, or grapes, or organic raw shelled peanuts (which seemed to annoy a few people). If everyone just brought a simple, storebought item, the Rawlucks would be rather mundane. The whole idea is to fix something special to share with others, and for everyone to share an abundance of fabulous raw food dishes.
I don't really have any of the equipment the others have: the fancy dehydrator, the spiral slicer, food processor, etc. and am not yet at a level of commitment where I plan to purchase any of these just yet. But there are lots of recipes that don't require all/any of the aforementioned equipment.
One thing's for sure: I feel so much healthier when I do eat as much organic uncooked food as possible, keeping my diet over 50% raw at this point.
I've been reading the Enchanted Gardener's blog lately, and the Feng Shui Conference in San Diego sounds so interesting. I would love to attend, can't this year, but maybe next year. The food at the conference sounds like it's mostly raw, and organic. At a Hilton Hotel, no less, how about that? I'm impressed.
My Reiki II Certificate arrived in the mail today. I still haven't given a treatment to any person other than my Reiki Master teacher, and that was prior to Reiki I attunement. There's a reason for my reticence: I still need to practice more. I'm not a perfectionist, honest! Just don't feel ready yet. I'll know when I'm ready.
I guess that just about wraps it up for now.
I miss hearing Comments from other bloggers. Are you out there? I love hearing from each and every one of you!
Blessings,
