There's a Mother's Day Art Party happening at the candle shop in the studio complex where my vibrational energy studio is located. I've been over there a few times since I got here around lunch time. They've got jewelry, candles, art, photography, wine, and cocktails. Have to pause the conversation here to reveal to those of you reading this that I have chosen not to drink alcohol or consume any other drugs (yes, alcohol is a drug) including prescription drugs that fall under the addictive category for over 11 years now. Sometimes I end up spending time around "normies" who can drink alcohol and not have any problems with it. I'm fairly comfortable with being around "normies". But it reminds me of how separate I've sometimes had to keep myself from mainstream society in order to preserve my sometimes-fragile recovery.

This morning I created a flyer that gives a little blurb of information about the VIBE Machine and my studio, with a special Mother's Day offer and free trial of "vibing" for today only. I brought the flyer by the party, and have had a few interesting conversations with the artists and artisans there. A few people from the party came by awhile ago for a trial session, and they said they enjoyed it.

Later there will be a band, and the artists will all be there for a reception.

I don't go to very many parties; I lead an ascetic life, and not always by my own choice. Maybe a little dancing would be good to amp up my determination to get thinner and healthier? I think so!

Being social and choosing to experience joy in a group setting is actually ESSENTIAL to keep one's health moving in an optimum direction!! I am grateful for this opportunity to be social that is just 500 feet from the front door of my studio...
