Navigating Around Obstacles Along the Healing Path
Vibr8 takes an honest look at an allopathic obstacle along her healing path.

Yesterday I came upon something which presented itself as quite daunting to the healing path I have chosen. You see, after that yearly physical I had back in October (see my 1st blog entry) I was asked by my doctor to come in for follow up blood tests. I had gone to the HMO's lab for one of those requisite blood tests last Friday. Yesterday my doctor's nurse called first thing in the morning to let me know that my blood cholesterol level had risen since the last lab test, and that my blood sugar level was higher than last time it was measured and in the lower end of the diabetic range. My blood sugar had been testing out as significantly below the diabetic range ever since I started using the VIBE Machine and other natural approaches.
The nurse went on to say that my doctor wanted for me to start taking a medication for the high cholesterol immediately. My response was that I wanted to have some time to research and try alternative approaches first. I explained to her that I care very much about my health and am proactive when it comes to looking for and finding approaches that are effective in returning me to a state of healthy balance.
After this phone call was over, I found myself somehow gravitating to a fear-based mode. I remained in this fear-based mode for most of yesterday. I don't want to be on pharmaceutical medications. Don't want to live in the shadow of side effects and symptom-focused treatment. I want real health, not symptom eradication!
I really think that pharmaceutical medications get in the way of possible achievement of a real and balanced healthy state. Homeostasis, I think that's the term for this kind of balance I'm describing.
So, anyway, here I have been cruising along so idealistically, thinking that I had quickly and effectively cured a potentially problematic health condition (diabetes) through regular use of my wonderful VIBE Machine and vitamins and herbs and all the other health building stuff I've been doing, and this scientific measurement method (blood test at HMO lab) is telling me something different.
Once I could finally get myself out of the fear-based thinking, I sat down and started to do some research about natural approaches to high cholesterol and further research regarding high blood sugar (diabetes). What I got from these beginning hours of research is that there are many approaches out there that are working for people, and that don't require a commitment to allopathic physicians or pharmaceutical medications. In fact, what I discovered is that with high cholesterol, medications such as Lipitor often do not help lower serum cholesterol levels at all, not even over extended periods of time.
Apparently, high cholesterol can be a sign that the body is not metabolizing fat as it should be. Adding a mineral supplement and Red Yeast Rice supplement to the diet can apparently be very helpful. After consulting with my homeopathic practitioner, I did that today. It takes time for new approaches to work, so I'll update you as time goes on. This is just one step.
As for the VIBE Machine, I know it works and helps with many of the conditions that keep people from achieving optimum health. One cannot, however, expect to sit in front of a machine that oscillates and works on an energetic, vibrational level, and have that machine lower their cholesterol. I understand this. Similarly, one cannot expect to have a machine keep one's tendency toward high blood sugar completely in check, and must look at all aspects of one's life in order to achieve and maintain normal blood sugar levels.
The VIBE Machine must be the primary contributor to my measurably increased energy, which has been consistent since the day I first tried "vibing" in October 2004. This increased energy will be essential along the uphill journey ahead of me--finding a way to normalize my cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
Of course, achieving and maintaining optimum health has always been my goal and will continue to be.
I know I mentioned gratefulness at the beginning of this blog entry and will mention it again. I found so much excellent information about cholesterol and diabetes right here at curezone.com when I began my research yesterday. This is a great place on the web, and helps me to have hope that I will find the answers I need as I move along my healing path.
My original focus and intent for this blog hasn't really changed. I will continue to write about some of the adventures I've had and some of the remarkable health improvements I've observed in others over the past months.
Many blessings to all of you!
