Called "the most powerful living intuitive of our time", Canadian intuitive Douglas James Cottrell has been a practitioner of Deep Trance Meditation for over 30 years. It is a highly revealing and receptive state of consciousness.  This form of meditation has been likened to a phenomenon exhibited by psychic Edgar Cayce in the 1930s: it is an incredibly accurate and insightful tool for gaining insight through intuitive means. Douglas was quite skeptical of intuitives and psychics until an experience with a genuine intuitive in the early 1970s changed his mind and his life forever. His daughter, Cheri-Anne had been born with severe mental and physical disabilities and was placed in a home for crippled children. Douglas and his wife Karen always wondered if more could be done to help her, and in 1975 their prayers were answered. The intuitive was a practitioner of Deep Trance Meditation, and was able to delve into Cheri-Anne¹s problems with          uncanny accuracy, revealing a protocol of treatment that would return her to health. She was immediately removed from the home and the new therapies    began. She is still alive to this day. This powerful experience began Douglas's journey into exploring metaphysics and spirituality. He learned to develop his
own innate gifts and abilities ­from seeing auras to interpreting dreams, to prediction and prophecy, and to spiritual healing. Douglas was instructed in the spiritual healing ability known as the laying on of hands. It is quite powerful. Douglas is able to channel this powerful energy via the chakras into those who 
need relief from pain or some other intervention on any of the body's levels: physical, mental or spiritual.
