Once upon a time there, was a young lad of twelve; who never got past the second grade... Johnny was disruptive, did not seem to pay attention, and made rude noises during class... His teacher of several years; Ms. Miller, ask for a conference with his parents...
At the meeting Ms. Miller, spoke of Johnny's lack of progress and his disruption of the class... Not to over look his size difference with the other classmates... She further recommended that he be placed in a special education school...
The parents, replied that there was not any schools for him near by, and that he really loved Ms. Miller as his teacher... A decision was made to allow him to finish out the current class year where he was...
A few days later; just before Easter, Ms. Miller ended the class with an assignment... She gave each student a plastic easter egg... With instructions to go home and work with your parents if necessary, then tomorrow bring it back something inside that signifies a new life or rebirth...
Well the following day, Ms. Miller started class off getting each student come up and show what they had placed in the egg... One girl came up with a picture of a butterfly, and said the Caterpillar spun a cocoon and became a butterfly... A new life! A boy opened his egg and had an acorn inside, which he explained was representative of the new oak tree that would come forth when planted... And so it went with all seventeen students until she got to Johnny last...
He handed his egg to Ms. Miller.... She opened it and it was empty... She ask Johonny... "Did you not understand the assignment?? Could you not at least get your parents to help you?? Johnny replied, " I understood... When Jesus died and then on Easter Sunday morning; when they came to his tomb, you see Ms. Miller; it was empty... He had risen!! To a rebirth!!"
Ms Miller; just stood there and cried.... For he knew full well the meaning of rebirth!
A couple of weeks Johnny died, and not many people understood why there were eighteen empty plastic easter eggs on his casket... Now you know the rest of the story, dear friend....
Think on these things, so that you might have eternal life... Amen... See Ya K
