Wednesday happenings

this and that plus some memories about my so called ex

I'm still fasting and honestly I can't wait to eat again. I'm transitioning off to a mostly raw/living foods diet except for some steamed vegetables. I just can't eat broccoli raw BUT lightly steamed with some homemade apple cider vinegar and olive oil? YUM! Anyway, I've been having some interesting memories come back to mind while doing yoga,etc. This is in line with the things I wanted to do for lent. Lent is also the whole month of March and this is my 'do or die' month. April is going to be very busy and May will be also. I've not been keeping up with my rosary but I'm saying one tonight so I don't completely lose track. The fast has been great but only in terms of physical appearance. I do think that as far as my spiritual life and getting things done around the house is concerned, I will achieve much more eating food again.

I was laying down on the floor after the standing series and was feeling my hip bones. My belly has been really flat because of the fast. I had my palms flat on my belly and recalled how obsessed with physical appearance R*y was and how unpleasant that made my first sexua| encounter. I mean if I was going to sin and all that, I at least should have had a good time but I didn't. Looking back now I'm glad he was a pig because I would have stayed with his manipulative self and missed out on the wonderful man I'm with today. I can see why there's the whole thing about NOT having sex before marriage. I would say if I had waited, I could have saved myself for the wonderful man I know today but I may not have met him if I waited. It may not make sense to some, it makes clear sense to me. The more trips I take around the sun, the wiser I get about wishing for my life to be different.

Anyway, I'm off to buy some lemons and water for the remainder of my fast. I find that I go to sleep way earlier which is good.
