Consecrating the Kindness Tree
at the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community

I have never held cremated ashes.
This is something solemn about this.
They belong to someone.
They are Sacred.
Yesterday, this weekend I was with the ashes
of Dr. Garry White, a man who lived a full and rich life
and who was a Patriarch of the
First Christian's Essene Church.
He was a man who represented Kindness.
One of his daughters, at the memorial held on Saturday,
say that. She said, she wanted his memory to
stand for each of us being kinder.
Garry wanted his ashes buried in a couple places.
He wanted them buried under the fig tree in the garden
of his old house, where he lived many years.
That Fig Tree was uprooted by the new owners.
He also wanted ashes at the grave of Edmond Bordeaux
Szekely, his dear old friend, who had asked him to take
over the Church.
I wanted to some of the ashes to go at a tree at
the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community.
I asked for some before I knew he had requested them
be planted with a fig tree.
Polly, his longtime companion, felt it would be an honor
for some of the ashes to be here.
I felt it would conscrate and ground a new wave of Essene activity
here at the house.
We have been moving in the energies of renewed Essene activity
here for for a number of weeks because of the presence of Paris Bingo,
aka Paris Unger. Paris has been drawn to the Essene Teachings,
and he has been pulling me closer again to this teachings.
For years, I had wanted to see transfered the Old Essene School of Thought
tapes to a more lasting technology. Paris started doing that last week.
I have a number of CD's already that I can play on this computer.
Anna had been at the memorial on Saturday at the Swedenborian Church.
She said some kind things about what I said. She wanted to go to the
memorial at Rancho La Puerta yesterday. I was feeling confused in myself,
really drawn out of myself. I was asking Paris to drive.
The EG Mobile burned out a clutch recrossing the border last time.
I was not comfortable taking Anna with us, but when I went out
to the tree I wanted to name the Kindness Tree, I felt the spirit of
Dr. White.
I felt it was important to bring Anna, as a gesture of Kindness
and healing between us.
As soon as I was clear, I went up to the house and told her she could go.
I asked her to participate in the burying of the ashes.
I made a little hole before a new Fig Tree that was planted
about a month ago. The fig tree has been waiting in a pot for more than two years.
It was raring to grow. It is a variegated fig. It has more than five figs
growing on it that are ripening.
Once I decided that Anna was to go, I felt that I would have made
a serious decision if I had allowed my lesser emotions to not brought her
with us. I felt she was meant to go.
Paris sang the Saint Francis Prayer
when Anna and I buried the ashes.
She put her hand down, and I put my hand on top of hers.
I want to thank Dr. White for generously allowing some of his
ashes to go here. They are already creating more Human Kindness.
The ashes planted under the lemon tree on Collier Street,
the old home of Dr. White, will be behind a locked gate.
That property is owned by new people.
The ashes scattered at Rancho La Puerta are also behind
a locked gate.
Hopefully, when people want to connect with Dr. White's
Kindness, this tree will be here for them.
I pray that his ashes here will further contribute
to the permaniency of this land as a land of Intention,
and a place where Essene activity, however named, is rooted.
