I just called The Dancer, my Chanukah Sweetheart
years ago. I thought she might like to read my
blog called "Bizarre Sex."
She is opening a new office on Wilshire Blvd.
Her Sweet man, the Kabbalist, answered the phone.
He says, "Happy Chanukah!"
"Yes, and Happy Winter Solstice, and
Merry Christmas! It all works for me," I say.
Then he tells me this fantastic story
that he pieced together from watching the History Channel.
Originally there was a tenth month calendar,
but Augustus Ceasar, for Economic reasons,
created a 12 month Calendar to so the work force
would all be celebrating at the same time. That
is why we have Chanukah, the Solstice, and Christmas
approximately at the same time. He added two more
months: July, to honor Julius Ceasar, and August,
to honor himself. The last two months of the year
contained the Holidays, so people who take off
work at the same time.
All the tenth months are based on numbers...
ie, September=seven October=eight. November=nine. December =ten.
He added July and August.
thanks Kabbalist Virgil.

This is the First Day of Chanukah.
We lit the First Candle last night.
Today is the Day of Shabbat,
This is a Powerful Time for myself
All People, and the Earth.
Each one of Us are in this Life
Together.
We are in this Life as a
Consciousness Raising
Opportunity.
I see at least Three Holy Days
in the Next Ten Days.
All Holy Days are Tied together
if we can see Life this Way.
This is the Essene Way
to see Life this Way.
Last Night we arrived at
the Temple. It was incredibly dirty.
Someone of US would like to call
the Temple Bad Names. We want
to Cleanse it, but how do you Cleanse
anything Really, if you call it a Bad Name?
Embrace.
Embrace.
The God in me says.
So we are a Tribe of Fighters NOW.
We are called Maccbeans. (Sp?)
We are holed up in this Temple.
We are looking to a leader Judah,
to Inspire us.
We are under attack, from outside,
but mainly from Inside.
We are going in different directions
at the same time.
We are Unyoked. A nice little
Yoga class would help.
We are all of this Tribe of Judah.
Someone gets an Bright Idea.
Let's start within. Let's Clean Up
this Place and Hallow it, so at
least our Prayers make sense.
They do a little Oil Pulling.
One Guy gets a bloom and the
Great Earth Cleanup Begins.
Another Guy finds a lamp in the corner
and has a Holy Microfibre Schmattah, a Rag,
so he Cleans off the lamp and shakes it.
There is a small bit of Oil inside,
likely enough to Burn for One Night.
He says a Little Prayer and Lights the
Lamp
There is an Essene Among them,
an Essene in Spirit. He Lights
the Lamb in Faith, believing in Miracles.
A Miracle occurs. The Lamp stays lit
for eight nights.
"New, says another Yid!" It's a Miracle!
Let's call it Chanukah.
Scene Switch:
We are all Pagans.
We are Cold and it is the beginning
of Winter.
We can see from the Way the Light
Falls, that this is the Longest Night of the Year.
This year, the Winter Solstice
starts on the Sixth Day of Chanukah,
And so we Light a Candle on this the Sixth
night of Chanukah.
Then we say a little prayer:
"Let the Light of this small candle
ease the carkness of this night.
Let the Light of this small Candle
ease the darkness of our hearts.
Let the Light of this small candle
ease the pain and ease the grief."*
More days Pass,
Scene Change:
We are Travelers with no place
to rest our weary heads.
Our companion is said to
be a Virgin, yet she is Pregnant
and really Huge. There isn't
room at the Inn, so we find
a Stable, a manger, and
The Woman with Us gives
birth.
There is an Essene among us,
and he says that this Kid is a Son
of God. The Father must be God.
Maybe Perfect sense to me.
How Perfect!
What a Wonderful Blessing
on such a Dark Night,
So we Light a Yule Log
surrounded by Candles.
"Let the Light of this small candle
illuminate the way
to Shalom, Salaam, Peace.
And so it is
Amen"*
It All Fits
when we Accept we are Enough
to Fit it All In.
