Tibetan Masters
30 minutes or so with Ken Small.
He called Seeking Organic Compost.
He gave me what I needed.
Date: 10/13/2006 6:43:17 PM ( 18 y ) ... viewed 1092 times Just got a call from old friend
Ken Small, who has the
Wisdom Traditons bookstore
on Adams Ave.,
San Diego.
He has been laying low.
Not doing any retail for numbers of years
out of the store
but Ken always resurfaces.
"Rev Goldman!"
he says as I pick of the phone,
a pleasant change from the
many Telemarketers.
Ken is after the Real Thing.
He is doing a favor for John Drais
who is the Abbot of Madre Grande Monastery.
Ken does a lot of Spiritual Practices
on a daily basis.
He was after some organic compost
and thought I might know where to get it.
We talked for about 30 minutes just now.
His favorite Tibetan practices are now
in the Dzogchen Tradition
That is about Great perfection."

He recommends the great books by
Tulku Urgyen
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulku_Urgyen_Rinpoche
"As It Is" in two volumes
and
"Rainbow Painting"
Also the writings of
Namkhai Norbu
I give him a brief synopsis of
my current Peace project...
Declaring Peace for myself
maybe inspiring you to do that too.
We talk about the Crack
and the leaks I feel.
This morning I was pondering
the thought that War and Peace
are a byproduct of the Quality of Relationship
we experience.
I "Kvetch" a lot.
I cause myself a lot of Suffering
but then I was reminded of what
our mutual old friend Paul Brenner
was wrote and is now on this Blog Decription
(Repeated Below).
So good to be in the Presence of Ken,
such a Rich and Enduring Influence
who is about doing the day to day things
that can ground the Spiritual Teachings
that turn us on.
"Deep acceptance becomes
transcendance," he says.
Birthday of Ken Small: June 30

Leslie uses this Blog as his very personal journal.
"Leslie has breathed life into physical pain
and rejection. He speaks for those who suffer,
entrapped by silent blocked emotions.
His gift is to evoke with each reader both
the joyful and the painful memories of the past.
In so doing, Leslie brings to his audience the
light of understanding and the cure of forgiveness.
Like the Bodhisattva, Leslie Goldman's journey
is not over..."
