Worm Castings are the best possible choice for creating optimum growth for all plants. All landscape or growing applications benefit immensely from the use of Worm Castings.
Improved Growth: Extensive testing has been performed by Ohio State University, Cornell University, UC Davis and the Australian SIRO on the use of worm castings. These tests have shown improved flower size, bloom quality, quantity, and color. Fruit and vegetable tests have resulted in yield improvements from 57% to over 200% as well as improvements in taste and appearance.
Fungus Control: University research and testing has shown that the complete soil food biology found in worm castings provides quick and effective long-term control of fungus problems. Within four weeks, plants suffering from fungus problems show significant lasting improvement. All ground fungus is quickly brought under control.
Insect Repellency: Testing has shown that several microorganisms found in worm castings are very effective repellants for a large array of insects. The worm castings activate the natural insect repellent found inside the plant to multiply to a level that can be detected by the insects and they depart. The effectiveness has been tested and confirmed for white fly, aphids, spider mites and various other bugs and works for all plants. The rate of repellency is in direct relation to the size of the plant. Spider mites will leave houseplants within two weeks, whereas white flies will leave full sized hibiscus in about three months.
Odor Elimination: Testing has shown the worm castings are very quickly effective at odor elimination. Mix 20% worm castings with composted dairy manure, horse manure, chicken manure, or compost and all objectionable odors are eliminated usually within eight hours. You can now use these effective fertilizers without offending homeowners.
