Walk For Hope 2005
The Walk for Hope on September 24, 2005 at El Dorado East Regional Park in Long Beach, CA is unlike any walk-a-thon you have ever experienced. The purpose of the entire event is to cultivate compassion and inspire service.
Along the walk route, you will find hundreds of powerful quotes and inspiring messages. You can also expect to find several activity stations placed at each kilometer break point. These activities include learning about global issues, expressing your creativity, and connecting with others in a deep and meaningful way.
Along with live international entertainment and free food, many organizations will also be displaying information on various causes.
The entire Walk is free. This includes free lunch and free t-shirt. Participants do however have the option of contributing to a humanitarian organization of their choice. Participants also have the option of raising funds or collecting sponsors for their selected beneficiary. All contributions are tax deductible.
100% of proceeds raised from fundraising efforts will be distributed to the selected beneficiaries. Be the Cause will not retain any of the proceeds raised from this event. Be the Cause is a volunteer-run organization and the walk is paid for entirely by its volunteers. This Walk for Hope is our gift to you.
