1. Fantasy of Peace
Whole Being Weekend

I live my life out of a fantasy,
a fantasy intended to be become reality.
This is the fantasy
the yearning for most
that we can have World Peace.
I know a Rabbi--who is now
out of body--a generous, loving,
somewhat lusty Rabbi whose
eyes raised in the presence of a beautiful woman.
He was a Kabbalist at heart,
one of the Tree of Life Lovers
and in the age before Tantra was too
well establshed, he would get himself into trouble
because he could not discern between
taking in the good energy that women
would give innocently and trustingly from the heart--
tantra--and his own sexua| confusions
that often caused him to cross the line
of appropriate boundaries.
He was a man who captured the heart
of most people who heard him sing.
He could whip of a whole room into excited
ecstatic dance and bring in the presence of
God. I had the great honor to know him personally
and share deep Ceremony with him.
He was a man who lived and imagined
the fantasy of World Peace.
One time when he introduced me
he said:
"Some people believe in World Peace
Leslie really, really knows that World Peace
js POSSIBLE!"
The WHOLE BEING WEEKEND
is one of the few places on Earth where
I have had the privelege of living out
in 3D what it would be like, feel like,
taste like, dance like, look like to
Live in World Peace.
The weekend begins on Friday
and I generally over many years
have set a Spiritual Tone for the Weekend
to get it off and running.
One year on a cloudy Friday and a weekend
that looked like it would rain,
I read lines from a poem that
said there were times when he had to be the
sunshine for each other. I used the words
opening...in the poem.
I came to the stage with one of my favorite plants.
A cactus that blooms generally once a year for a day
or two.
During the ten minutes i was on stage,
the Flower opened as i spoke the words.
There were 400 people who witnessed this.
Another time, an artist was was there making
T-shirts. I asked him to make me one that said
Enchanted Gardnerer. I asked for thunderbolts.
As he made the shirt, clouds came over and we
witnessed thunderbolts as if from out of nowhere.
Such is the inspiration when Whole Beings get together
in the spirit of being Whole Beings. Many of Us plug
into an electric socket where each of us become the
dream we were born to see in the world.
So this is the potential of the Whole Being Weekend.
