Derinkuyu is open to the public up to the 8th floor underground.
It is thought that the depth of it is 55m and it reaches the underground source of water.
Each room in the passage of around 1.6 m height has been connected with the passages and a part of them is connected to the Kaymakl? 9 km away.
There is a door of a stone (about 170 cm in diameter and 300 to 500 kg in weight) in the middle of a passage.

It is said that there is a room to the extent that thousands of people can live.
Although man could probably also live near the entrance, when it went into the back for a while, it seemed that living is impossible absolutely.
I cannot think at all that man tunneled because the wall was very hard .
Underground is pitch-black, and man cannot live, if there is no light.
There are also no marks of the soot which burned the torch etc., even if it burns a torch, oxygen is lost, and it is dangerous.
Although I hear that investigation is difficult and the underground city which cannot yet grasp the whole spreads out, the way which says that man was living makes me think that it is impossible.
