Welcome to "The Enchanted Garden Onion"!
Possibly the start of "phase two" of one of my other blogs: Psyche & Health where I bring the new "mind body" medicine down to personal experience.

Date: 11/24/2015 9:27:48 AM ( 9 y ) ... viewed 1508 times From the "heavens above" and through my most recent research I realized this is a good time to become more "playful"! The most recent new moon included a transit that was conjunct with my fifth house of the play! Intuitively I knew that this was significant for me and therefore worthy of my investing some research. So glad I did that!
In "The Book of Houses" the author/s identify the Fifth House with: "you feel playful, your dreams for this year are taking shape and it's exciting." It's about time! Still, I had to ask myself what my "play" is.
Presently I have a housemate who is more of guest due to the temporary time-frame of his "visit" here. Nevertheless I have deeply received this rather likable individual with whom I find great conviviality, considerable levity and a wealth of good humor! I started laughing within the very first hour that I met him! The man has a genuine gift with his unique sense of humor. I often have quickly found myself entering playful states with his word play. -
There it is! I was attracted to his word play and actually made some contributions myself! Therefore I'm a word-play player!
In referring to my humorous housemate I am reminded once again that humor is a matter of perception. A certain ability or rather perceptibility is required. A couple months ago I told another housemate that I intend to be a connoisseur of humor. Just prior to that he had shared with me that Pythagoras held contests for humor. (I think I have a note on this somewhere that I can find and support this better.) All of this talk about play is a kind of "pep talk" on my part to help me set a right kind of tone for this personal Blog that may touch on parts of the human psyche that I have hesitated to express in a blog before.

Just reviewed this initial welcoming post and glad I did as I wanted to recall what my objective was for creating this "onion". I am truly grateful for whatever playfulness I can allow in my life, at least as some kind of a counter-balance to my natal Saturn-Sun conjunction that is sitting on my Ascendant!
In my initial creation of this blog I was attempting a good humor approach as "medicine" for my personal attitudinal adjustments regarding my life in "the Onion" (where there is never a "dull" moment. ; ~ ) If I really wanted to I could write an "episode" in the continuing "saga" of this reality show virtually every day. However, up til now I had been resisting telling "stories" - at least I thought that was the case. (I believe the "Saturn-Sun conjunction that is sitting on my Ascendant" has something to do with that and especially since I had invested that energy into a seven-year cycle with "The Church" from age 19 to 26.) However, now I realize that I was actually filled with "stories" and that I simply had not given myself full permission to accept the truth of that, let alone "tell" the stories. Now that I see the psychology of how the ego mind creates "stories" I'm rapidly losing my willingness to either perpetuate or resist the story-making process.
The Human Design System says that de-conditioning ourselves is a seven-year process. The payoff is recognizing our authentic self. I think that's worth a seven-year investment. What do you think?[1]
In addition to my own "medicine" I am able to see the social environment as a whole living entity and I am inclined to liken it to nature, hence this "... garden ...". I have a real life reference for my analogy in Biodynamic Agriculture.
If we consider:
"... seeing a farm as a whole organism, the view of weeds, pests, and diseases changes. Each of these becomes a valuable messenger, revealing an imbalance in the farm and inviting us to correct that underlying imbalance. ... Although short-term solutions to manage these problems may be necessary, the biodynamic approach emphasizes learning from these problems and changing management practices to increase the health of the garden or farm as a whole."[2]

Posted a new post in this series "Miracle Onion" and included a couple references to A Course In Miracles (ACIM). ACIM inspired me to think in terms of a Miracle Onion after having been presented with another's personal logic. I don't see human logic reaching the egoic "core" that I know needs to be reached. Especially in light of how "... we all identify with (the) ego thought system—otherwise, none of us would be here (and when identifying with this thought system) then it ... makes no sense for us to feel appreciative of where we are, of the people whom we are with, or of the world that furnishes us with a classroom."[3] We're all in a classroom! I'm into being the best student I possibly can!

I've known this for quite some time however declaring the following here and now is all the more helpful in my radical self-honesty. The "garden" manager needs a personal manager plus another manager for the "garden". I had noted to post this some days ago and now today I'll add a number of my fellow gardeners need personal managers as well!
