Grace? I look up as the Walrus hits the spray paddle. The spray dies and he continues. I've been catching up on my Ted videos and I don't understand Sting's 10 year "writers block".
I smile, it's a mind consensus thought. Fat is bad for you, "Oh, I can't be creative on demand, I have writers block".
Fat is not bad for you and creativity is a process that can be easily learned but more importantly, it is NOT done in a sterile environment.
The fact that it took him 10 years to "overcome" a writers block explains why a lot of people are 1 trick pony's. They all believe creativity is a light bulb going off in their head. What they fail to understand is everyone has a story to tell, they live with that story for years. For some it never comes out. For others it comes out as a book, a painting, or as with Sting, music.
Then what? They've told their story that took years to formulate and express. Most no longer have the original drive because their story got told. It's excellent therapy.
So they sit around wondering why nothing new is coming. Because you've told your story, time to move on.
You can take everyday events then twist the cat's tail to make a story, a point, even a societal shift in perception.
The walrus smiled, give me 3 stories Grace!
I looked at the walrus and smiled, I'll do better, if we don't have millions and a piece of paper before the end of this month, I'll give you 4. Give me a twist, name a writer, a genre, an object or some such.
The walrus, lost his smile for a second, Criminal Minds the F.B.I.
Well, I didn't expect that. A murder mystery it is.
The game's afoot.
