Day Two of Prep and the transition
I am not a God, not by a long shot. In fact if it were a shot it would be even more impossible than the last shot made in the movie Wanted.

Then realized that if I were truly going to do it right I was going to have to give up on my daily ritual of COFFEE! I don't know how you take it, but I love the foo foo stuff. I brew a large cup in my Krieg, add a shot of "sugar free Hazelnut" and 2 heaping spoons of creamer with 3 packets of Splenda. It's like desert in a cup. No wonder I am so fat! Well, I decided to give it up cold turkey. Now it is about lunch time, which to me will only be referred to as noon, and I am not as wide eyed and bushy tailed as I usually am. Hmmmm I wonder why? Well, I know from my previous fasting experience that I will go through some changes such as mood swings, lethargy, and feelings of intense energy. I never made it past day 10 the last time, but hear that the energy levels out and becomes sustained. I guess we shall see. It's not like I'm fasting for 40 days like Jesus did, I am not a God, not by a long shot. In fact if it were a shot it would be even more impossible than the last shot made in the movie Wanted.
Anyway, right now I am munching on the last of my tropical trail mix. I didn't have time or the money to go buy grapes like I planned so this will have to do. I have this, a few sunflower kernels and a gallon of fresh water for the day. I think I will do well with this because I can sense my inner mind accepting this as the best thing for me. That helps a lot and will come in very handy when the cravings start to mount. Besides, I saw that I have 38 views so far on my blog so I would hate to disappoint them.
How about a brief thought I have on exercise through the fast. I decided to do a walking regimen where I do a simple 3 mile walk in my neighborhood as well as the treadmill at the gym with my wife and son. I will not do weights and no running, but other simple exercises using just my body will be alright. I look at it this way, our prehistoric relatives probably went several days between big meals and they certainly didn't just sit around and wait for things to happen. They were always on the move, looking for the next big score. Dog, horse, bear, rodent and probably each other from time to time. "Please pass Jake's leg, I didn't get my fill." (Sorry if your name is Jake) Well in between those bigger meals they survived on plants and water. Just imagine how many times they had to sprint hard after a kill before they actually got one. Fast forward to me today and you can see why I think it is not only alright to exercise in a water fast, but necessary.
OK, that's enough for now. I will post my starting weight tomorrow because it is the big day. My actual day one of just water. I have my Tylenol ready for the headaches and will try to do 2 gallons of water each day minimum. Man that's going to be a lot of bathroom time. Can't wait to see what comes out day 3, 4, and 5 in the bathroom. I will be positively toxic! Scary if you think about it. That sludge is inside me just sitting there. Yuk!
