My Water Fast Cure

Launch Date Aborted...   10 y
I can imagine there might be some hard core fasters out there reading this saying "Wimp, Sissy, Gut it out Fat Boy." So... let them talk, it's my journey to guide, not theirs.

I had to abort the launch date of my fast. I needed to take medicine today for my weight induced gout. It tears me up something fierce if I don’t eat with it. I couldn’t risk getting a full blown attack at the start of my fast. I ate some yogurt and fruit with the pills. My fast actually did start today, but with the food I had to take in with the pills it is not official. Don’t be angry with me because I’m not. It is what it is and I didn’t want to begin with bum ankles and not be able to walk. I can imagine there might be some hard core fasters out there reading this saying ”Wimp ...   read more

Day Two of Prep and the transition   10 y
I am not a God, not by a long shot. In fact if it were a shot it would be even more impossible than the last shot made in the movie Wanted.

It’s like desert in a cup. No wonder I am so fat! Well, I decided to give it up cold turkey. Now it is about lunch time, which to me will only be referred to as noon, and I am not as wide eyed and bushy tailed as I usu ...   read more

Day One of Prep, the Fast begins Friday   10 y
My beginning goal with the fast is going to be 50-70 pounds. I plan to do a full 14 days with just water, and then move to a juice fast for another 14 days.

So today I start what might be a very difficult journey for me. I have water fasted before with limited success. I think I made it 7 days once with nothing but a few small handfuls of trail mix. That got me past the hard cravings you experience on day 3. I should clarify that today I am starting the prep, which is of fruit and water. I had some apples and now will move to softer fruit like grapes because they are easy on the digestive system. By the end of the day tomorrow I will be fully into the fast so we can call this T minus day 2 and counting until the fast officially begins. ...   read more
