Dear Patricia, Freya & I had fun Dressing Up Our Salads!!!! Freya and I, Uncle Leslie, Your Enchanted Gardener had fun starting conversations with Vegetables at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market on Sunday. Some people weren't sure what to eat so we asked the vegetables what they thought. We dressed up some salads with your Braggberry Organic dressing & Marinade. Pablo, the music man, Robert, the egg man liked the salad, and Daniel, who makes the Green Fix Smootie, said thumbs up. KID EATS JR ORGANIC CARROT AND NOW LOVES VEGETABLES!
Once upon a time, she hated vegetables, but then, she tasted a JR Organic Carrot and was transformed into Freya, the star of our new series of videos that are part of the 2012 Campaign to Grow A Healthier Pizza for Kids.
Freya helped launch our "Conversations with Vegetables," Part of the Grow A Healthier Pizza 2013 Campaign. This will also be one of the Chapters of the Book, "Grow A Healthier Pizza."

A nice lady from the San Diego Food Bank came over to the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community the other day. She told me that they did a survey at the School and counted everything in the trash. She said that most of the food eaten was Cheetos! So Ithought, maybe it was time to start having some Conversations with vegetables as part of our Grow A Healthier Pizza project.
Freya and I made salads at the Hillcrest Farmers; Market. Freya cut up JR Organic Vegetables and we dressed them up with your Bragg Organic BRAGGBERRY FAT FREE Dressing & Marinade. One lady who ate one of our little salads asked where to buy that dressing, so we said go to Whole Foods Market or OB People's Food Store.
We gave a salad to Robert the egg man, and Pablo, the music man. We gave one to Daniel of the Green Fix Smoothie Store who also is at many of our local farmers' markets, including the Sunday Hillcrest Farmers' Market where I go every Sunday I am in town. Daniel loved the salad. He is fixing up our San Diego with fresh greens from JR Organics and our other local organic farmers.
I am just now catching up with myself after working all year on that Prop 37 to Label GMOs. I was very disappointed that so many people thought that their food bills would go up if they said that they wanted their foods labeled. I thought maybe if we all start to Grow A Healthier Pizza and eat good fresh vegetables we would make better decisions at the Ballot Box. Then, Label GMOs will pass for sure!
Anyway, Patricia, I just wanted to thank you for letting me come and see your chickens and all the fruit on your trees at your farm. Thanks for being a friend to all the kids, and for helping me educate every body about GMOs.

Youth at Hamilton High School enjoy an organic yellow watermelon from J.R. Organics, fifth and sixth generation local organic farmers from San Diego County. Securing The Organic Future at the Rodriguez Ranch, a land that needs to be back in the family hands, is one fundraising project on my Radar.

I really enjoyed the lecture you gave us (and the watermelon!) It taught me that you need to eat all of the right foods to be whole and live your dream. I could relate to a lot of it, especially the part about planting your seed to live your dream, even if you don't know what your dream is quite yet. Something you taught me was to eat organic foods because they are much healthier. Also, you taught me that shopping at local farmers markets will benefit us and the farmer. The local farmers really care about our well being and after I ate the watermelon, I believe it. The whole presentation was very interesting and educational in a good way. Thanks for taking your time and talking to us about this important subject.

I really enjoyed your presentation yesterday. It uplifted my spirits and made me feel like I had to do something to make our planet better. Personally, I don’t eat vegetables but everything you said changed my mind about it. I do need to change my eating habits and I do need to grow my own vegetables. You kept the classes’ attention. You were funny, and you kept us interested. You’ll probable be the man that’ll actually get our generation to do their part in helping rebuild our enchanted garden.
