Shield of Protection Meditation

1. Sit or stand up straight with feet flat on the ground. Take deep breaths and let your awareness sink into your tailbone and pelvic floor (1st chakra)

2. Close your eyes and silently set the intention to connect with the Energy of Great Mother Earth.

3. Visualize sending roots down into the body of the Earth from the bottoms of your feet and from your 1st chakra (bottom of your spine). Send your roots all the way down to the Mother’s Core in the center of Her body.

4. Draw Energy up from Great Mother Earth’s Core, up through the roots of your feet and up your legs to your 1st chakra; draw Earth’s Energy up the root from your 1st chakra. Co-mingle Earth’s energy from all of your roots and bring it up your Energy Channel from your 1st chakra (2nd through 6th chakras: belly, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye) all the way up to the top of your head (7th or Crown Chakra).

5. Visualize a ball of Golden Light/Divine Intelligence floating about one foot over your head (this is your 8th chakra). Silently set the intention to connect with this Spiritual/Divine Intelligence

6. Ask Great Mother to gently open the crown of your head (7th chakra).

7. Visualize a stream of Great Mother’s Earth energy traveling up and out of the crown chakra, meeting the Golden Ball of Light. Visualize some of the Spiritual/Divine Intelligence from the Golden ball co-mingling with Great Mother Earth’s Energy.

8. Stand or sit, feet flat on the ground, with your arms fully extended out to each side of you. Take this mixed source of Earth/Spiritual Energy and visualize the creation of a sphere of Light all around you, from one foot over your head to one foot under your feet, to one foot beyond each outstretched hand, in all directions. The grounding energy of the Earth is mixed with Spirit/Divine Intelligence to create an energetic Shield of Protection around you.

9. The Shield of Protection is transparent and semi-permeable. Set the intention that any negative energy that you self-generate in thought/word/action/deed/emotion exits out of the Shield, is rendered harmless, and is absorbed into the Universal Energy field to be recycled.

10. Set the intention that any Energy of Positive Intent or Energy from the Light external to your Shield, that is for your Greatest Good, may enter through your Shield.

11. Set the intention that any Energy of negativity that is generated by others/situations/things that is not of the Light, any energy that will affect you adversely, will not be allowed through your Shield. This energy will “bounce off” of your Shield, rendered harmless, and be absorbed into the Universal Energy field to be recycled.

12. See yourself standing, sitting, or floating completely protected inside your Shield of Protection. Seal the Shield with the awareness that you are protected and grounded at all times by the co-mingled energies of Spirit/Divine Intelligence and of Great Mother Earth. Ask Spirit/Divine Intelligence and Great Mother to keep this Shield in place throughout the Earth’s day and night.

13. Thank Great Mother and Spirit/Divine Intelligence.

Recommendation: If you do both the Alignment Meditation and Shield of Protection Meditation one after the other, I suggest doing the Alignment Meditation first, then waiting about 10 minutes or so (you can get up, move around, or stay in a relaxed meditative state) before doing the Shield of Protection Meditation. The pause inbetween allows your Body-Mind, Heart and Soul to better integrate the energies of the Alignment before moving on to create the Shield.
