To Have a Wellness Spring, We Need to Grow a Healthier Pizza.
In this Plant Your Dream Blog, I explain how the idea of my Workshop "Grow a Healthier Pizza" was born. I explain the connection between "Grow a Healthier Pizza" and Deborah Szekely's Wellness Spring Movement.
Where is this Blog Headed??? To organize a Caravan to the National Heirloom Exposition, September 11,12 & 13. Why am I doing that? It is time to reclaim our Sacred Seeds and claim a victory for the Right to Know California Ballot Measure November 6.

For about four years now, I have been holding my inner Bioterrian in balance with the original Bioterrain of the Ocean's Source of Life Balance through taking little vials of 0.9 Bioterrain Restore. I get these from my friend Robert Slovak who is keeping alive and helping thrive the Original Quinton Marine Plasma of Rene Quinton. It is one thing to feel the Bioterrain Restored inside you. I am sad to say that for a year now I have been before high school students and in other venues apologizing that we have allowed the original balance that once was all over the earth, to now be down to little bottles; and then, then, there is another experience I had recently. It was a big Wake Up moment while walking a trail at Rancho La Puerta, the #1 Destination Spa in the World, located in Tecate, Baja. I was walking through a magnificent landscape where every inch of Nature is being invited to fully express the full bioterrain. Can you imagine the power of and delight to walk through such a scene as pictured here? I was staying at the Ranch while teaching at the 2nd Festival of Traditional Medicine of the Americas. I want to thank my beloved friends and allies at Rancho La Puerta for contributing so much to help make this visit a profound healing adventure, and for giving me a vision of the world I want to help recreate for everyone.
I know that many people at Rancho La Puerta have this similar experience of wonder. My prayer is that each of you reading this, have your own Wellness Spring now. INTRODUCTION:
Early Morning Thoughts
To have a Wellness Spring, we need to challenge our Inactivity. We need to be on top of our game. The game I am speaking about I call the Rock Your Soul Opera.
Sometimes, I think of life as a tennis match. We are being served the ball. It is up to us to do something in a meaningful way with the ball that is being served to us.
The Rock Your Soul Opera is all about this challenge of how we play the game, and what we imagine we will get from playing the game. My spiritual training, some that comes from the same sources as Deborah Szekely, teaches that peace with the whole depends upon the effort of the individual.
There are people like Deborah Szekely who are playing their part in the Rock Your Soul Opera by serving humanity while making the most of their life. They usespiritual practices. among these practices are holding intentions, and then take the organic steps necessary for their dreams to show up before their eyes.
Rancho La Puerta, the #1 Destination Spa in the World, is a living embodiment of a dream that Deborah Szekely co-created more than 73 years ago with Edmond Bordeuax Szekely/
Dreams are born constantly, but most of us, do not have a chance to grow them because we do not know the rules. Then there are times when we step through a Gate, and we are in the presence of the Rules being played out well.
Such a place is Rancho La Puerta, and such a vision carrier of a dream is Deborah Szekely.
Yesterday, I invested time and energy into Deborah Szekely's latest Dream--It is called Wellness Spring. Wellness Spring is about creating a cultural revolution that has its foundation among other things, in the foods that we grow and eat. I want to see her Dream realized. I believe she can do it, if we get enough support.
I want to see her Dream realized, come to pass, because it is my dream too.
This Plant Your Dream Blog explains a bit of what I have been doing lately, what I have been seeing, and what I am planning to do with my time between now and November 5, the date of the California election.
I appreciate that I am not the only one reading these words I am writing, on this very early morning when I am using a bit of fresh energy to write up some inspirations I am having.

WHAT IS THE CONNECTION BETWEEN HAVING A WELLNESS SPRING MOVEMENT & GROWING A HEALTHIER PIZZA?????
O.K. let's stretch! Earlier this late Winter, I began to work for the California Right to Know Label GMOs initiative. One day, at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market, my Sunday "Church" where I help farmers and talk up Real Food, I saw a lady in clownface. She reached out and handed me a packet of Baker Creek Non GMO seeds. These seeds were a donation from Baker Creek to the Label GMOs campaign. I was already excited about KAMUT (R) INTERNATIONAL and Bob Quinn, a sponsor of the Plant Your Dream Blog. I was already starting to get to know this ancient wheat called Khorasan. Then, at the Natural Product Expo West, I came upon another moment that would touch my life. I found a postcard offering a free Kamut (R) Pizza from SliceTruck Pizza's new Brick and Mortar location in WLA.
I had already committed to teach at the Hami High Medical Fair of April 25, 2012. I was going to be in WLA, so I went on a Pizza Pilgrimage to SliceTruck. I met a delightful man who aspired to become LA's Best Pizza maker. In order to do this, he was using an improved wheat choice: KAMUT (R), an ancient grain that is said to be more than 3000 years old. Bob Quinn told me there is a legend it was with Noah on the Ark.
One thing led to another. Next thing I knew, I was having teens at the Medical Fair planing dreams with the Non GMO tomatoes and Kamut (R).. I was asking them to Grow a Healthier Pizza.
I went so far as to buy a hand grinder. I knew that eventually the students would harvest the seeds to make a healthier pizza. This was a fun engaging activity: grinding flour out of whole kernels of KAMUT (R) ancient wheat.
I do not keep up with the news.
It was not until I heard Deborah Szekely bring up the topic that congress had voted last Fall to say that "Pizza is a Vegetable." This move was said to cut back costs of improving school lunch programs. The legislators were saying that if two tablespoons of tomato sauce were included on a pizza, that constituted saying "Pizza is a vegetable!"
My friend Deborah was outraged by this statement. It is was only one of the tip of the iceberg of reasons why she was saying we needed a cultural revolution now called Wellness Spring.
"Grow a Healthier Pizza" was already percolating in my head as a workshop to be presented at the National Heirloom Exposition September 11,12 & 13 when I heard Deborah voice were passionate appeal May 21 in a Monday night talk.
It was then I started to study the latest in a series of moves in Washington D.C. that go back more than 100 years to short change the health of our kids in schools. Some of that history is told in the "Grow a Healthier Pizza" Workshop.

I blame Deborah's husband, the late Professor Edmond Bordeaux Szekely, philosopher and visionary (1905-1979) the Co-founder of Rancho La Puerta and its original Essene School of Life (at Rancho La Puerta in the early days), as well as Dr. Bernard Jensen (1907-2001), my spiritual Father (and a friend of the Professor) for cooking up this whole idea!!!!!

THE "GROW A HEALTHIER PIZZA" WORKSHOP
In the "Grow a Healthier Pizza" Workshop, you will plant your Dream. Legend says Prophet Noah may have put ancient KAMUT® khorasan grains on the Ark for these challenging times. Ancient wheat become our teacher as we grow it and learn to turn it into a healthier pizza. In this workshop you will work with our harvest of Baker Creek Non GMO Tomatoes that were planted with the intent of growing our own San Marzano pizza topping. We will look at the power in heirloom seeds as sacred seeds to plant our intentions. Many more people want to grow food now; this is a trend. Please use heirloom seeds, Non GMO, to ensure our future. "Grow a Healthier Pizza!" Looks what Congress had in mind when it said that "Pizza is a vegetable! in Fall 2011. We can look at the role we can each play to influence Congress and the White House through growing some of our own food and being part of a "Wellness Spring."
We will look at the next steps we can take to win the Right to Know Ballot Initiative through teaching others about Labeling GMOs at the CA ballot box November 6, 2012. We will look at the Pros and Cons of GMO agriculture and the trend toward Urban Agriculture as a way to free us from our current personal and national Food Emergency.
