SliceTruck Opened Sawtelle Restaurant on April 3

Two-and-a-half year-old SliceTruck is the next mobile operation to go brick and mortar. On April 3 brothers Dave and Chris Hanley opened a small pizzeria right by Spaghetti House by Orris (which was recently up for grabs) and Hide Sushi on Sawtelle. One major change to the pizza recipe since opening, the Hanleys have swapped in KAMUT® Brand flour for the standard stuff. Hours of operation run Monday to Friday, 11AM to 9PM. [EaterWire]

I picked up an offer for a Free Small Pizza when I was at #expowest.
It read Free Small Kamut Pizza from SliceTruck The Restaurant located at
2012 Sawtelle Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90025
The idea that SliceTruck uses Kamut grain excites me.
This is one of my favorite grains, especially since getting to know Bob Quinn, who is an ally of mine in the organic marketplace.
Each year, I take an interest in a couple plants. in 2012, the two plants that have captured my imagination are "Arundo and Wheat." The wheat that fascinates me is called Khorasan, an ancient wheat that is becoming more and more popular because of the work of Bob Quinn and Kamut International.

At #expowest, I launched my year long product called How Fast Can a Dream Grow? As fast as a Blade of Grass.
Since then I have created two graphics that I will use throughout the 2012 Campaign.

I got my first bag of Kamut last fall, at the Expo East
I got my first bag of Kamut at the Natural Product Expo East, last September. I fed some to chickens at the home of Karine Bois Towe.
We made a Video!!! The chickens, certainly liked Kamut Seeds.
Then, in the Unofficial Closing Ceremony at #expowest, I had another remarkable experience! I had Khorasan wheat growing in the container where I was asking everyone to Plant Dreams! A delightful Dalmation, with a good sense of Taste, came to the ceremony with his friend, Dennis. The Dalmation, named began to munch on the kamut grass that was growing in the pot!

Modern Civilization has devitalized Wheat
Most recently I have been studying about wheat and how modern civilization has devitalized wheat.
I found a little booklet recently by my spiritual father, Dr. Bernard Jensen, called "Let's Begin at the Beginning, Man Needs Good Earth and Grains for the Body," The book was compiled form a lecture, and the book came out in 1980. During those those, the word "Man" was intended in the lofty sense of Mankind, which of course included Woman Kind and Children Kind.
