I LIKE THIS ONE VERY MUCH
Morning from Lisa J Frank on Vimeo.
"A friend’s father passed this week. This is for her. They both loved dance."--writes LIsa Joyce Frank on her Vimeo notes. I see in her dancing here as well the death of a stand of Arundo Donax (Giant Reed) that will be cut and likely Roundup Herbicided beginning December 15, 2011. along the Arosa Canyon Rim within walking distance of SDSU. Considered a noxious plant, called a "Devil Weed" by many who favor chemical means to destroy her, The Arundo comes to us as a Peace Offering with the Plant World bringing more than 102 uses, and yet, most of us, reject her and the Tribe of the Arundo.

MOVED BY LISA J. FRANK
Met the most delightful gentle spirit today at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market. She did the Dance of the Lettuce at the JR Organic stall. Later she and Sam Goodman helped with the cleanup. This was one of the highlights for me of the December 11, 2011 Farmers' Market.

BIO NOTE ON LISA J. FRANK
FROM HER WEBSITE
I am a dance artist, dreamer, video maker, teacher, improviser, and performer.
My curiosities lie in uncovering the raw and eternal states in my dancing, through teaching and sharing that experience with students, collaborators, peers and audiences. I am inspired to capture the real, and the vulnerable, to fully grasp presence in my work and to inspire others to feel it, breathe it in and be moved in that direction in their own lives, work and passions.
Through dancing I find growth, spiritually and physically and I seek to uncover a path of humility, maturity and fragments of enlightenment along the way. My intention is to simultaneously remain young, and discover the ancient in my self and the world I witness, through my art I will share these findings.
