NEED TO WRITE THIS ONE UP
rundo Donax (Giant Reed) is considered one of the most hated invasive plants in the U.S. Amazing, among the 102 uses I am to discover, is Arundo Donax Chop Sticks. I made my first pair December 11, at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market. Demonstrating the many uses of Arundo Donax will be one of my homespun projects for the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds in 2012. This Thursday most of our current crop will be cut and Roundup Herbicided. I see Roundup having its last stand here. I started a petition to outlaw it and more than four people have signed.

More than 60 billion sets of chopsticks are produced every year in China, so you’d have thought they would be making enough.
But a chopstick shortage is growing in the Far East, prompting a U.S. company in Georgia to start exporting millions to the country.
Georgia Chopsticks is producing an incredible two million sets of the utensils every day, reported the Daily Telegraph.

Quite an adventure today at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market using as Arundo Donax took center stage among my props.
Had a little swordfight too; blessed people, and invented Arundo Chopsticks.
