Allow for your grief
Grief for what was, perhaps even grief for what is, and learning to cope and be happy. Continue healing!
Date: 10/8/2011 11:34:28 PM ( 13 y ) ... viewed 1889 times My last blog was grieving over -- well -- mostly how my
poor choices have affected so many aspects of my life. Apologies if I was discouraging to you.
Well, ... time to move on... I REALLY AM getting thru this!
I'm reading a book "Living Successfully with Screwed Up People". It is a workbook on how to improve our mental viewpoints so that we can live successfully with our life's loves and challenges. (adjusting me - not 'them'). Lots of tools in this book.
I read a portion concerning grieving over losses (this does NOT APPLY TO GRIEF OVER THE DEATH OR LOSS OF CHILDREN, FAMILY OR MATES). It proposed to allow time to grieve, then MOVE ON. They suggested 3 days of hiding at home in pajamas with Ben and Jerry's. (not sure how curezone likes THAT!- SMILE) Be sad, cry, and face reality and move on.
I can't go around and around in this whirlpool vortex forever.
Assess the problem, brainstorm the solution, and NOSE TO GRINDSTONE - DO IT.
I read another magazine WATCHTOWER OCTOBER 15, 2011. This article is on coping with causes of distress.... death, discrimination, prejudice, poor health, advanced age, poverty, marital problems and distressing world conditions. It explained how to cope with things that could affect our heart, mind, emotions, physical health and spiritual health. I downloaded the article from their website. Very comforting.
DO IT -- can't do it in my own strength. Psalm 147:3 says that God "is healing the brokenhearted ones, and is binding up their painful spots."
Light is shining at the end of this tunnel.
More pictures next time!
Best of success in this segment of your journey. Patty
