Ingredients:
1 ounce palm oil (preferably of the sustainable variety from non-peatlands)
4 ounces corn starch
2 ounces baking soda
1 drop tea tree oil
Directions:
In a small pot, slowly heat the palm oil on low heat until it is completely transparent and clear yellow. Turn off the burner. Allow this to cool enough so that it is not scalding hot, but has not congealed into solid chucks yet.
Add 1 drop of tea tree oil to the oil and mix thoroughly.
Add the baking soda to the palm oil/tea tree oil mixture, and stir until evenly dissolved. A whisk works well for this.
Slowly add corn starch to the palm oil/tea tree oil/baking soda mixture and try to mix in the ingredients with a large wooden or metal spoon. Eventually, your hands will replace the spoon as the primary mixing tools (just make sure that the solution has cooled down sufficiently so that you DO NOT BURN YOURSELF).
Transfer the solution to a mixing bowl. You should be able to mix the solution evenly into a homogenous mixture with just your hands.
After making the mixture to your desired consistency, shape, and fragrance (or lack thereof), slowly add it into an empty deodorant container. Make sure to press the loose bits of deodorant as firmly as possible into the container, as a higher density will create a better deodorant that is less likely to break apart upon application.
Once you’ve finished packing your empty deodorant container as densely as possible, cap the container and let it sit overnight. The following day you should be ready to use your very own Jungleman All-Natural Deodorant.http://junglemannaturals.com/
