I just discovered this minute that one of
my Seed Dreams came true!
In spite of her not having the "beet" gene
as she calls it, beets will be planted in the
White House Organic Garden.

Thanks Michelle for responding to my request to allow the "beet" of Nature to grow in the White House Organic Garden. Keep The Beet Media Star, The World's First Talking Beet Plant thanks you for hearing the call to help us all return to an organic lifestyle. Standing up for Nature's Original Technology is essential now as we shift away from the meltdown that will come from deregulating GMO Seeds. The high cost of the message from Japan is that we simple can no longer ask nature to adapt to us. "Lettuce Keep the Beet Together!" Please consider running for president. We need your organically growing woman's wisdom to continue growing in the White House. I think it is profound that on the same day Organic Leaders who gathered at the
Natural Product Expo West, Friday March 11 to prevent a meltdown of our seeds due to GMO deregulation, an earthquake in Japan was pointing out we simply have to turn toward a moment of awakening that can come from being garden inspired.

Charlie was a consultant on the White House Garden.

in the planning committee for the conference was the tour guide for
our First Lady.

Japan Reflections--Nature's Original Technology Speaks
Our world's are truly connected.
The cracks in our wholeness
keep up separate
from the one beat of nature that exists
as a part of our heartbeat.
It is my second morning here at the Enchanted Garden
growing grounds in San Diego, a 1/3 acre parcel of land
where I hope to live for years to come,
a place where I would like to continue to express
the moments of awakening inside myself when I feel
one with this one beat in its many pulses.
i have just come home from the Natural Product Expo West,
March 10-13 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
My intent, after a severe winter with many days
feeling there were no solutions to saving my home,
after spending many days in depression and hopelessness
attempting to find the appropriate housemates to live
with us and going through a ton of calls and investments
of time and energy, the calendar was already turning to Spring.
The Natural Product Expo West, March 10-13, a show that has always
represented tremendous self healing was happening.
I simply had to there, even though I had been on vapors
for months.
The Natural Product Expo West:
For some, it is a timeto look at products.
For me and others, it is a Reunion,
a time to revisit values that truly hold my world together
and the world at large together.
THE MAGIC OF THE SHOW
I was reminded of the principle of the One Beat
many times over at the 2011 #expowest.
The first name I heard when I arrived was my own name
called from the mouth of women who were waiting
for a friend called "Leslie." I heard them say my name
as I entered the Marriott where I park.
I arrived a few minutes before it was It was time to gather for
the Annual luncheon social presented by Horizon Organic.
The Organic Farming Research Foundation orchestrates
the first major networking gathering of the four day event.
I wanted to catch up with some of the organic stakeholders
who were involved in the recent USDA deregulation hearings.
I know some of these organic leaders personally. I knew
they were being given a dishonest spin by saying they
had caved in to Monsanto. I knew this was not the case.
Seleyn DeYarus, former co-director of the Organic Center
was the first person whose eyes caught mine as I neared
the OFRF foyer. She greeted me with a hug.
Her partner in her new business, America's
Best Organics (TM), and her co-director of the Organic Center
during their years of service there, was right nearby.
What are the chances of that happening?
55,000 gather. What makes it possible to run into
time and time again through a four day period, the exact
people you need to meet to fulfill your intentions
and your destiny?
Here is another example of the principle of the One Beat.
Eden Foods, one of my favorite companies has produced BPA Free cans
since 1993. BPA is a dangerous chemical now coming to light.
Senator Diane Feinstein of CA attempted to ban it as part of
the recent #S510 Food Safety Modernization Act, but was
overridden by the senators influenced by the Chemical industry.
The cans themselves cost 14% more than
regular cans, but for Michael Potter, Co-creator of Eden Foods
with Michael Redmond (the Father of Sara Snow)
doing other than the right thing was never an option.

My intent at the show was to launch Standing up for Nature's
Original Technology, Organic Uprising!
On the morning of March 14, I set out very weary and spent
to do outreach at the nearby Downtown Disney. It was coming
up on 12:30. I had a phone date to be on Helene Beck's Healthy
People radio show.
The second I pulled out of the the Super 8, an enormous truck
from Eden Foods crossed Katella in front of me!
It was good to know, I was still in the One beat.
SO WHAT DOES THIS ALL HAVE TO DO WITH THE EVENTS IN JAPAN?
This is my reflection.
Our world right now is in deep cleansings.
I call this moment in time the Great Earth Clean Up.
I know it is happening in my personal life.
A shift has happened.
Different things are being asked of us.
What we are doing now has got to be for our children.
We need to leave them
a world where they can survive and thrive.
We have gone off.
We are no longer standing up for Nature's Original Technology.
We do not know what that means
because we are no longer a nation of gardeners.
Even growing one beet in a pot can begin to restore
our beat with nature. It is the lost beat with nature
that allows us allow industry based on unreal science
to lead us.
Those in the organic industry as well need a moment
of awakening. We have turned the word organic into a name for a kind of
product, forgetting that when Paul Bragg and my own mentor
Dr. Bernard Jensen first breathed life into the idea,
they intended an entire lifestyle.
Organic Living--living in the beat of nature--was what they
intended and this is Nature's Path.
Organic Living--and standing up for Nature's Original Technology--
is being demanded now.
The horrific loss of life in Japan, the suffering,
the casualties, the men and women who are going into harm's way
as I write this, what is asked to come of all this?
What new moment of awakening is being asked of each
of us by these human sacrifices?
Nuclear Power was never an option for our species,
as a way to produce electricity.
And now we have people dying for what
we did.
Friday, on the day the Tsunami hit,
I was hearing Jeffrey Smith, author of
Seeds of Deception call us out to create a tipping
point against GMO Seeds;
an hour later, the organic stakeholders were all
on stage together in a historic gathering.
More than 500 of us were gathered at the NPEW
to discuss the impending catastrophic errors of science
that have birth the deregulation of Genetically engineered Seeds.
My friend, it is the same science gone far from
Nature's Original Technology that is causing
the harm in Japan right now.
Later that evening, Walt Robb, the CEO from
Whole Foods, handed one of the four containers
of Baby Alfalfa I grew to M.C. Sara Snow
at the Organic Center Dinner called "Reunite!"
Sara Snow placed the baby organic seedlings
on the podium in full view.
There was no mention of what they were,
but many guessed what the mystery plant was
that I carried everywhere for four days.
I came up to Anaheim to launch
each of us Standing up for Nature's Original Technology,
Organic Uprising!
All this was happening in Anaheim,
unknown to each of us while earthquakes and tsunami
were striking Japan.
In my own weariness and brokeness, I knew
I had to get myself to Anaheim.
the beat of nature wanted me there,
as much as it knew that the truck from Eden
would be passing in the seconds I headed out
to Downtown Disney with an organic beet in a pot
and four little bowls of baby alfalfa seeds growing
in BioSmart compostable
containers.
MY INTENT IN THE NEXT WEEK

THESE ARE OUR AIMS
1-To support mobilization of one Farmers’ Market in our local area, the Hillcrest Farmers’ Market in San Diego. To continue to work with local organic farmers and help them sell more of their produce.
2-To continue to develop a 1/3 acre parcel of land near San Diego State College named the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community Growing Grounds where those who live here and who live around the world may study our process of learning how to keep the beat with nature through learning to live together cooperatively as a household that seeks to live in harmony with the earth. The motto of the house will be Keep The Beet. Through growing a simple beet in a pot, we can regain our beat with nature. Not all in the house garden. Some like to prepare food. Others help with other jobs, or rent. The land, as of January 2010 is being refinanced. A Trust to hold the land is being explored. The Seed Dream would be to leave a museum and park for future generations to learn from this experiment in cooperative living that has been going on since the early 1970′s. The intent is that what we learn here can help others, and Washington, understand and adapt to some of the shifts being asked of all of us now.
3- To develop relationships with those who influence Washington and government. A vast coalition across all political, religious, and philosophical lines has now formed. Mainstream media needs to be reached through bloggers filling the gap where journalism once told all points of view. Elected leaders need to be encouraged to follow the principles expressed in the song “America The Beautiful.”
4- We see the world as we know it now coming to an end. A Shift has already happened. It is for each of us to adapt to the earth and relearn the laws of nature, rather than attempt to further adapt nature to our ways. The source of our economic and health crisis is that we have lost our beat with nature. We can regain the beet through becoming once again a nation of gardeners who live in a world of gardeners. One Pot+One person=You are a Gardener. Start to grow your own food now.
