Afternoon Feelings

Came home depressed.
Meandered around town on the way home,
taking naps after seeing the dentist at 2 pm
for a teeth cleaning.
The morning took my time to attend
to meeting a possible housemate for the little room
and writing an earlier morning letter
that I edited down, rather than tell my whole truth.
Took comfort in doing a few simple chores
in the last hour, including filling the crock pot,
putting my laundry on hangers on the clothes line,
going to the EG Mobile to retrieve my current notebook
with house mate ads, putting away some groceries.
I am grateful I can do a few simple things like that
in light of the huge impossible things on my mind.
I see no solution.
My courage is lacking to take action
even if inaction will likely have a deep cost
a few months from now.
