Good acupuncture session this afternoon that included more understanding into the mind-body connections that I am working with. I reported how from a cardiology perspective there is nothing physically or functionally wrong with my heart. From an Oriental Medicine perspective the heart meridian is effected by the Lungs (where grief is held) and that is effected by the Liver (which holds anger). Knowing that supports my self-awareness and that allows me to have self-empathy, self-compassion for what I have to work with!

Then I began looking at this from a Human Design perspective and for now I will just note that of my four defined channels, three of these are to/from the Solar Plexus (Emotional) center! One is "unconscious": 12-22. Reading about this in Chetan Parkyn's book underscores my knowingness that I need to be clear with myself and others before expressing my emotions, to help foster understanding.

September 26, 2017 - Update - Six and a Half Years Later -

I've mentioned in other posts how it takes severn years for de-conditioning (according to the Human Design System as well as from other lines of thinking). On February 3, 2018 it will be seven years since the "note" above. I can already say that I am well on my way in the de-conditioning of certain emotional patterns. One tool that I believe has been helpful for me has been repeated declarations of the "Second Agreement) Of all Five Agreements it is the second one that I affirm every single day.
