BORREGO PROJECT
I am curious if you’ve had any more thoughts about the Borrego Springs property. It’s a wonderful site for the Desert Lily (one of the ingredients in Grace), so it would be good if it could be preserved, maybe as a Desert Lily sanctuary (but with permission to gather the flower for making an essence every several years). However, from what I observed in my March trip, it’s going to take some crews of volunteers every year to clear out the terribly invasive Saharan mustard that is taking over the whole area, and crowding out the wildflowers. It’s frightening to see the changes since I was last there.
