Everything was OK until tonight when I was alone in my room. Being distracted by someone that supports you (in my case my boyfriend) does make a HUGE difference, even if they do try and tempt you with food occasionally. I did feel the hunger, but it wasn´t as strong as I though it would be. However, the minute I was left alone, my mind switched automatically to food. This could also be because this is the time I use to binge, so my mind and body have acquired the habit. Anyway, it just took me an incredible amount of willpower not to grab the cookie packet in the drawer, or to rush to the fast food place literally outside my house. And all of this after having to see my boyfriend eat 2 meals and after having talked about food for a while. I did find talking about food very VERY tempting and so I changed the subject quickly. Also, I caught myself a few times staring at my partners meal, wishing I could have at least a quick taste. Somewhere on a website I learned that distraction is the key to successfully complete a fast, especially during the first 2-3 days, and it´s true. If I had been on my own I probably wouldn´t have made it.
So, if you don´t have a partner, get a friend or relative to support you the first few days =)
