Job stress and fat nurses
nursing... a blood sport
Date: 9/12/2010 10:42:44 PM ( 14 y ) ... viewed 52940 times Stepped on the scale a few days ago and realised that I've gained six pounds since becoming a charge nurse. My stress levels have been through the roof and on top of it all, no car so I've riding my bicycle to work. My husband thinks it's a combo of water weight, constipation and fat in that order. I've not been able to make it to church or the gym as much as I used to. Guys words simply can't describe-- actually there are words but this blog post would get a V for vulgarity rating. Anyhow Ive had more stress at my job than when my mom had cancer. My bowels are completely screwed up and shut down because of stress. My husband thinks if cannabis was legal I'd be much better off LOL.
But I really can't imagine leaving nursing now. I love working with the elderly. I'm becoming more aware of my thoughts having read some law of attraction materials and the best seller on LOA the Holy Bible. I started out this journey wanting to be the healthiest nurse possible. Now I find myself caught in the tsunami of paperwork, office politics. Medicating myself with food hasn't worked.
I need ideas. Probably should go to the priest and confess not going to mass for almost three weeks! I will ask for God's guidance before sleep tonight.
