Thank you for your excellent response here, Em,
and for your appreciate of the property.

It is the most intense and difficult learning of my life
to learn ho to live in community with others.
Our world desperately needs a continuation of The Great Experiment,
as Edmond Bordeaux Szekely called it,
of learning to live together.

I have two full time jobs, it seems, at times, more than two.

I have redefined the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
as all those people who want to learn to plant 1000 years of peace
one seed and seed dream at a time. These are the Beet Keepers.
If we can get back to the beat with nature, our dreams can manifest
in sync with Mother Earth.

The Plants can teach us Plant Parenthood. We can reparent ourselves
as a species as we both adopt and let ourselves be instructed by plants
as to how to grow ourselves.

You, Em, have wonderful dreams.

Please spread the word.

For me personally, I donated about 150 hours to our 2010 Food Justtice Conference.
Our land here is so in need of tender loving hands, and expertise with how to work
out bugs. I am the worst possible person to attempt to spend hours with record keeper.
I feel so wanting to teach, and take on the issues before us.

This land here is so in need of an extended community of local and international people
who see that in carry for our plant heritage, we can fulfill one of our greatest opportunities,
the development of a peaceful person living in harmony with the earth and their inner bio terrrain.

We need a new housemate who wants to join us here.
See this link for the adds.

I also want to invite you to join the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community on Facebook
and help us clock more moments in "Lettuce Love."

Your Enchanted Gardener,
Leslie

It is a honor to know you

Chef Jem,

thanks for writing this. I was really glad you said what you did at the meeting, and I think the whole group could benefit from hearing more about this practice. I have often noticed in our meetings and even in email threads that we are eager to share our ideas, yet many thoughts/ideas/concepts get glossed over and sometimes forgotten because of that eagerness.

There was a discussion during the meeting about efficiency and how it can be frustrating if it is disrupted or stalled when we get distracted by more more emotion-based communication. You effectively noted that there is a time and place for both, and that one gives rise to the other, which I hope that everyone can see the wisdom in. We need to have feedback and acknowledgement so that we can all feel valued and equal.... in effect, that paves the way for constructive and honest progress and hinders the chances that people feel left out, embarrassed, or lesser-than.

I think a good way to make sure this happens is in the duties of the notetaker. Whomever takes notes can jot down quickly a new concept or idea that is beginning to emerge, but steer the conversation back towards closure to the previous idea.

Looking forward to next meeting!

em
