LIVE FROM THE HIPPA ROOM
7:25 am
I got really sick yesterday.
I probably deserved it.
I did some really spectacular ceremony work Sunday eve
at the Lynn Wedekind, debut concert in San Diego.
The event took place as a benefit for the upcoming
Whole Being Weekend at Camp Buckthorn, September 10-12, 2010.
Mark your calendar now.
The Whole Being Weekend 2010 is a not to be missed event.
It is going to take an extra special effort for me to get up there
this year.
I am with the B'nai Horin Jewish Renewal Community
at Brandeis Bardin on the Rosh Hasanah.
The dates of the Rosh Hashanah this year begin
Wednesday night September 8. Wednesday September
7 is called Eriv Rosh Hashanah. The Jewish tradition
begins the day at sunset the evening before.
The first day day of Rosh Hasanah is September 9,
The second day day is September 10.
ABOUT
Rosh Hashanah
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I am in Simi Valley on September 9.
I will stay at Sarina's on September 9 eve,
and then leave for Camp Buckthorn the early morning
of Friday September 10. This will be an interesting passage.
I do not like the front road up to Idyllwild from
Highway 10. It is a scary ride up the mountain,
a very steep road, enough to give my heart some
shakes.
LOTS OF INSPIRATIONS
this morning.
As I was saying I really got sick Sunday night.
I must have had some unmet needs,
for sure I did not eat well in prep for
the unexpected adventure.
The concert by Lynn Wedekind
was called
"A Transformational Journey
of Music & Sound"
Add Ceremony to that.
It caught me totally off guard and off speed.
I rush to get back to the Eveoke Dance Theatre
by 6 pm. I was scheduled by Chris Fox, the
delightful empresario of this event
to introduce Lynn Wedekind.
That all came together that Sunday morning
at the Hillcrest Farmers' Market.
Chris met Lynn at few weeks ago at the
Joshua Tree Music Festival.
They discovered they were soul sisters.
Lynn was coming to San Diego for the
Association for Comprehensive Energy Psychology
conference at the Loew this past weekend.
So Chris, in spontaneous and Soul inspired
Whole Being Weekend style,
put together a benefit for the
Whole Being Weekend, inviting
Lynn to town.
Way to go, Chris!!!!!!!

LIVE FROM THE HIPPA ROOM?
My weekly appointment for acupuncture
at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine
PCOM is at 11:30 am this morning.
I am going to bring my Olympus SP-57OUZ
and put it in video mode.
I want to record part of this session of acupuncture.
I do not remember feeling this sick from a
headache in years. On my God!
I started to feel sick sometime yesterday morning
after my visit to the San Diego Superior Court.
I do not believe I was feeling sick standing in
line, but by the time I came home
to handle an unexpected Invitation from
the City of San Diego to have our water shut-off
within two hours, I was already starting to feel yucky.
By last night, I felt like throwing up.
I finally surrendered my day and evening plan
to rubbing aloe vera on my head and neck,
boiling some fresh rosemary to breathe in the fumes
and taking about three showers during the night
to get some of the toxins out of my body.
What did I eat??????
Yes, Chris want did I eat????
I came into the Eveoke hungry.
All Chris had was some super duper
raisin cookies in a round plastic container,
some serated potato chips, a bowl of
salted roasted nuts, and some water
in another plastic container that said
BPA free.
Thank you for the BPA Free water.
I really enjoyed the potato chips
and nuts. I ate about four of the cookies
too. I may have eaten more of the potato chips
and nuts than anyone else.
I keep coming out of the concert to get some
space from the intensity of the journey.
Each time I would gobble down some of the
salty treats or drink some of the water.
What brand of potato chips were those?
Potatoes are among are most pesticide driven
commodities, and nuts like that--
high heat oils and lots of commercial salt--
are not digestible for this body.
It is Tuesday morning.
My liver and stomach are still feeling sickish.
I am feeling still headachy in the frontal area.
Thank God for GMO foods.
I am sure I ate some Sunday night!!!!
Or...at least a goodly intake of
commercial potatoes.
I really want to find out.
I will ask Chris Fox what brands I ate.
HIPPA?
So as I was saying:
HIPPA.
In our remarkable U.S. medical system,
one of the things we do very well is look out for
each other's privacy.

HIPPA
SO HERE IS THE STORY
I can the room where I get seen
at PCOM the HIPPA Room.
There are numbers of private rooms,
so if you are coming in for a treatment
from one of these great student practitioners,
you can request a private room.
However, if you are a public person like myself,
whose every headache or body ache is pretty
much up for public information,
you may end up in one of the HIPPA rooms.
Here you will find a few veiled curtain between you
and some other patients, sort of like in the ER
at your emergency room of a regular hospital,
or I imagine in a military hospital.
If you listen in the HIPPA room,
various complaints from the other patients
drift across the airwaves as as I imagine
an occasional Moxa.
So, that is one of my inspirations this morning.
I want to record the intake for this acupuncture
treatment. This headache is just too good
to allow to go unrecorded.

Very difficult time at PCOM yesterday.
Too many people in the room to make a film.
My plan did not work out.
Attempted to salvage the experience
by switching gears.
Had a good meeting with Tiffany Hansen
about Pacific Symposium.
