The Summer of Shift 2010:
An Introduction to the Vision and Mission
of the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community
There is a land in San Diego, that was once blessed by Peter Caddy,
a man who on desert-like soil, grew enormous cabbages along the wind
swept coast of England. He had a military background, yet the plants
responded to his love and the love of the Enchanted Gardeners who lived
on that land. This land here in San Diego, this land called a growing grounds for The Enchanted Garden Intentional Community, asks to be a growing ground for 1000 years of peace. It is land searching for Gardeners. It is land searching for residents who want to clear the space for new growth inside them through clearing this land, and making a shared home. This land isclooking for people to live together in pursuit of their individual dreams and collective passion to unleash the enchanted garden underfoot,
and most importantly, release to their connection to the Enchanted Garden inside themselves.
This is the Vision of the Enchanted Garden Intentional Community, and its Mission is to be a place, a growing ground, located near San Diego State University during these times of shift back into the Wheel of Health. This is the Call: Are You the Student of Life willing to explore and learn from a continuation of The Great Experiment, the opportunity for humans
to learn to live together? A new generation of youth is called forth now to the land, a time in the midst of clutter and too many things, to return to the the innocence inside each person no matter what their age. This land to is here to demonstrate the Great Earth Cleanup that is asked of us everywhere. The call is to begin this cleanup in our own backyard.
There is a breach, a Gap, on this very land between the Vision and its outpicturing as we enterThe Summer of Shift 2010. There is a Gap everywhere between the Vision of Peace and its outpicturing.
What are the weeds that exist inside you now that could be pulled and composted through pulling weeds from this earth? Are you willing to explore helping groom your private and innermost dreams as you pursuit your day to day livelihood and life preparations during this time when we are all compelled to shift? Would you be willing to explore learning to live, honoring your own private rented space, but enter into a willingness to find ways to communicate with others? Whole, pure, and natural fresh foods
are making a comeback. Fresh food, and support for local organic farmers are now coming up from the soil across our cities. Could we possible learn together now to grow some food here?
Could we enjoy the fruits of existing trees, relishing small harvests, knowing bigger harvests can be? Enchanted Garden Club Membersare the Beet Keepers. Beet Keepers, Return! Begin to regain the beat of nature by growing a single beet where you are,and tending the beat of nature that asks to grow in your heart. Let’s root together. Help us find those worldwide who will hear this call. The end of history as we know it is near. Through my eyes, I am recording the history of peace on earth, a history of the earth and its human flowering. Our renewed earth is the Enchanted Garden,
and you and I its gardeners. Many pulses. One Beet. Now is the time.

Begin by growing a single beet where you are,
and tending the beat that grows here.
Regain your beat with nature wherever you are,
and send your loving thoughts toward us, as well
as help us find those worldwide who will hear this call.
