An Ab Crunch or Two...or None at all
Some advice on lazy abdominal exercises, that really aren't abdominal exercises at all.

Many people have difficulty getting a flat stomach because they don't do the exercises right, not to mention they may not do them at all. Many people spend too much time on the ab muscles and not enough time working the entire body in the interest of burning more calories and losing fat. What many people don't realize is that doing crunches or setups burns very few calories, and doesn't really work your body that hard. If you want to burn calories you have to get a good sweat going, get your heart pounding, and really make a cardio workout out of it, whether you are exercising your ab muscles or not. By far that is the most important step one and get good-looking abs.
here are some of my favorite exercises that can be done right at home which work your whole body and could serve as a great first step to working on your abs: push-ups, presses, stair climbing, and lunges, all serve as effective workouts that can be done from home, in which utilize many of your joints in many areas of your body.
So that's lesson one for getting great abs. get in great cardio shape first before you start to tackle that stomach area.
I'm going to go now,, and then take my own advice in the morning when my body is in a prime fat burning state. Yes, despite the weather, I think I'm going to go for a run tomorrow.
cheers,
Courtney
