Stop Pesticide lobbyist Nomination. Take Action now!
What's up now: Islam Siddiqui - former pesticide lobbyist and vice president for CropLife America - is STILL on track to be confirmed as the U.S. Trade Office's Chief Ag Negotiator. He will likely pass through committee this week to a full Senate vote. After that, his confirmation could happen within hours.
Call your Senator today and urge him/her to take a stand against Siddiqui and "agribusiness as usual." Tell them that putting a pesticide pusher in charge of U.S. ag trade is unacceptable.

What's up now: Islam Siddiqui - former pesticide lobbyist and vice president for CropLife America - is STILL on track to be confirmed as the U.S. Trade Office's Chief Ag Negotiator. He will likely pass through committee this week to a full Senate vote. After that, his confirmation could happen within hours.
We have to act this week to derail Siddiqui's nomination» If one person calls their senator for every ten that signed the petition, we will make the "revolving door" between industry and government much squeakier than it's been in a long time. Can you be the one person who picks up the phone?
Call your Senator today and urge him/her to take a stand against Siddiqui and "agribusiness as usual." Tell them that putting a pesticide pusher in charge of U.S. ag trade is unacceptable.
The facts:
Siddiqui is a vice president of regulatory relations for CropLife America, the pesticide and biotech industry's lobbying association. Members include: Monsanto, Syngenta, Dow, and DuPont.
Siddiqui has been nominated by President Obama to the position of Chief Agricultural Negotiator for the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative. In this position, he would be well-placed to push pesticides and genetically modified seeds on farmers and countries around the world who do not want and can least afford them.
The Senate will vote whether or not to confirm Siddiqui as early as this week.
Take action» This administration promised to end agribusiness as usual. Let's hold them to it. Please, call your Senator today.
