In a brand-new edition this book continues to impress whole generations of readers with its mystical depth. White Eagle's interpretation of St. John's gospel is a deeply moving account which reveals much that has remained hidden for centuries. This is no dry commentary, but one which completely links St. John's words to our own lives and experience.

Grace Cooke, London, England
Contact had began for Mrs. Cooke in the 1930's. Saint John's emissaries, including the spirit guide, White Eagle, were now appearing. During World War II, John's communications and teachings (direct or indirect) brought great comfort and "stillness" to a world undergoing tremendous conflict and fear. For those fortunate to hear the message, another circle of John was forming.
In her encounter with a presence that began the influencing contacts of direct communication, Mrs. Cooke's experience is related in the book, The Living Word of St. John:
Shining is the only word to describe the aura of the spirit who appeared, but his manner was as normal as that of any human being might be who, while out walking, had stumbled by chance upon a stranger. He appeared simple, kindly, and treated the situation as naturally as if it were customary for discarnate people to talk to men and women. He looked like an old man at first sight that is to say, he wore a longish beard and his hair was silver, but, apart from this his skin was youthful and clear, as though a light shone behind the flesh, and his warm blue eyes were alight with an inner fire. He was clothed in white, in the garb of some early order of Christian Brothers and bore himself with noble meekness.
...He spoke of John, the disciple beloved of the Master how he had not died 'as most men die' but had passed onwards to a higher life in a body of light as his Master had done before him. He had remained on earth for a very long time. He spoke of the inner mystical teaching from the Master which he, John, had passed to his followers and which had been handed down through secret brotherhoods through the centuries...
...It was as if the contact with that pure and great brother who had come, she felt, from what she called 'the sphere of St. John,' had brought about a permanent change of consciousness in the medium. Teaching began to come through her from the world of spirit, through her guide White Eagle, that gradually formed the philosophy of love that has helped and healed souls all over the world.
From this experience grew the White Eagle Lodge or Centers. These retreates offer a quite, contemplative space from a more hectic life. They are located worldwide.
