connection.

is a dark comedy based on timely issues--
the re-emergence in real time and real live
of a new locavore movement.
People everywhere are now taking back
their food supply that has been co-opted
by International Corporate mentality.
The trend away from monoculture is now ending.
It is Diversity of BIO CULTURE that breeds FLOW.
THE BEET is returning.
The BEAT OF NATURE is returning.
A younger generation of farmers has arisen
and they are regaining their peaceful relationship
with the BEET. These are the BEET KEEPERS.
One of the most timely inspirations
from the BEET KEEPERS is a man I met
in the early 80's at STEPHEN LONGFELLOW FISKE's
PEACEMAKERS RETREAT in Santa Barbara.
That was the gathering where I also met
ANDY LIPKIS, who was just getting started
with his TREEPEOPLE project.
Andy had a Seed Dream to regrow Los Angeles
with trees. I hail from L.A., the City of Angels.
As a teen, he saw trees dying. Today
there are millions of trees thanks to Andy Lipkis
and his teen vision.
JIM CHANNON also caught my attention
at that Peacemakers Retreat.
Who is Jim Channon?
He is a real life Leutenant Colonel
retired from the US ARMY.
Unlike the film based on the work of
JIM CHANNON and his cohorts
of the FIRST EARTH BATTALION,
their operation for the US ARMY
right after Vietnam was not covert,
nor was it hidden.
The Army was spiritually bankrupt
after Vietnam, and they were facing
the possibility of military actions in Europe
with the Soviets.
Jim, while in Vietnam, discovered
a strange pheonomena. Under battle conditions,
his men were using innate intuitive skills
inherent in you and I.
His men could tell if a truck--one and a half miles away
was moving away from them or toward them.
The Vietnam warriors were developing paranormal skills.
Jim, Keep the Beet tells me, had his mind blown
in Vietnam. He was intended by his life mission
to do good in the world.
He came home and informed his Military buddies
in the Pentagon what he had noticed. The military
commissioned Jim Channon to go on a real life
search of the HUMAN POTENTIAL MOVEMENT
that included sitting in hottubs at Ecalin,
an exclusive retreat center on the California coast.
Now that is what I call military training.

WHERE ARE MEMBERS OF THE FIRST EARTH BATTALION AND WHAT ARE THEY DOING TODAY?
Not surprisingly many original members remain actively involved in planetary affairs. Jim Channon lives in Hawaii on an eco-homestead and has pioneered a wide range of evolutionary ideas for living. Jim is still actively engaged in envisioning the global militaries of the world coming together as a New Earth Army to deal with environmental and social problems of the future. He calls this endeavor Operation Noble Steward and has written about on his website and discussed it in his many You Tube videos. See , and .
John Alexander, the father of non-lethal weapons has just completed a major analysis of Africa and has written two books on the future of warfare. His character in the film is played more or less by the George Clooney role although there are few direct correspondences since the comedy writer needed all the creative license he could get. John’s book, The Warrior's Edge, provided an accurate description of many of his projects that explored phenomenology. Still exploring, he currently serves as a council member of the Society for Scientific Exploration (http://www.scientificexploration.org/) and the board of directors of the International Remote Viewers's Association (www-irva.org)
