I am feeling jammed up....
what to do next???
I cleared my desk...
tired in my head....
How do I get files from old PC
to Mac...so I can get rid of the old PC????
I have an old backup file...
Exploring various solutions with APPLE TECH.
How big are the CUTESITEBUILDER FILES????

I am having success emailing the Cutesite builder files.
I am almost done.
I am also installing Windows xp on the new laptop.
The first attempts failed. Lots of Archaic partitioning
necessary.
That will be a win if I can do this,
install the Cute site builder disks
and see a file.
That would be a very big win.
Then I can get rid of the old PC
and have this space clear in my bedroom.
Windows XP is installing.
There were a few other meetings that
interested me tonight, but It is worth
the effort if I can get this done.
There is an outing tomorrow.
I would like to go to that
Bright Green Conference.
It is about six, it would be a win to
go to Mail boxes express and fax
the a new contract to HCI for a short writing
that is in the final run for THE ULTIMATE BIRD LOVER BOOK.
I am feeling anxious by so many computer steps
that still need to be done to get up to speed
again in Iphoto, and God only knows what else.
I would like to secure and be able to see my PC
based websites on this Macbook Pro Laptop.
Snow Leopard is installed that allows Windows XP to
run Bootcamp.

I have successful installed Windows XP on the
partition of this Mac. I have had that dream
for many years.

HOW DO I EJECT a Disk in XP?

Go to My computer,
select the disc and push eject
in FILE.
Also...
Success at opening a file that I emailed...
but it asks for a login passwork for
Cutesitebulder. I do not know how to find that.
INSTALLING CUTE SITE BUILDER 5.0
from an ungrade of SSB 3.0.
This is very complicated.
It is not acceping the serial number I paid for.
There is a 30 day trail.
There is a support number 210.308.8267.
for GLOBALSCAPE.
I am going to push 30 day trial and see if I can transfer
one of the files and open it.
There are a ton of miniscule details
I cannot read at this time as far as back ups.
I would be happen just seeing the old file open.
I can see what Apple is so much easier.
If I cannot open one of the old web sites....
I will abandon this effort,
move the old PC to the basement.
Or, if I leave it in my bedroom...
I will still be able to make changes
do my old sites...
I see a need to purchase Virus protection
for this Windows XP.
That will likely cost $100.00 oR so I imagine.
I do not yet know how to exit from the xp side of the
new mac..It is a bit disconcerting.
I may have to exit download one of the old cute site files....
or likely a USB STICK will work...I will try that next...
I am anxious to get into learning how to upgrade
Iphoto and make a promised slideshow for Bill Tall.
That is going to take a lot of learning as well.
I am backed up with things I need to do before
The Pac Symposium.
The new foundation of computer learning necessary
is not complete.
Use USB stick.
Set up holding place for files on IMAC of
emailed Cute Site Builder...
This is a gigsaw puzzle.
I would still need to upgrade to snow leopard
o the Imac before I could use Iphoto.
I do not know how that will effect my ipoto mobil me galeries.
Will I have to rebuild them....when I convert
from Iphoto 8 to iphoto 9?

on this CUTESITEBUILDER UPGRADE,
but I can use the trial run.

I was able to do a save as and
store one of the files in
PICTURES on THE XP.
I can open the file!
I can make changes!
To publish...
I would have to invest more time
calling GLOBALSCAPE....
I would have to get the serial number
staightened out.
Are they still in business????

I see a buy window for this program
that I downloaded for $30.00 in 06.
I do have the involce.
I would have to go to the PC and
look at options....to copy down all
the info....to publish here....
That was always nightmarish getting it right.

Do I want to put in all this time to
be able to make changes on the old sites
on the new Macbook Pro....
Or do I want to leap into the future

than to make a few changes....as long as I keep them.
I am paying $150.00 a year for the hosting
with GoDaddy.

It is good to know I can make see the old
sites on the new machine.

in a FILE ON IMAC HARD DRIVE
Downloaded from attachments
that I sent over.
Will copy one to usb flash drive
and see if I can upload it to the Cutesite builder
installed on the new XP on the new Macbook Pro.

O.K. it appears I can upload
Cutesite builder files via cox webmail.
The files do not seem large.
I at first wondered if they were transfering over.

I can see the file, but it will not upload it.
I thing it is because I do not have the latest Internet Explorer 7.
I will attempt to do an attachment...
